Without checking, surely that's not true?We hear talk about sky losing the pl etc but will it make any difference ? Amazon and bt still employ the same pundits as sky.

But it’s not a minor point. Firstly, it demeans the role of pundit to something akin to a cheerleader. Wright is by no means the worst- people like Carragher and Neville are just appalling. Yes Wight is a legend at Arsenal but made his name at Palace. The pundit should be proving football driven analysis and the emotion and cheerleading is what the fans are there for.I don't mind him showing his colours (so to speak) at all, why would you want a total lack of passion from every pundit? Are we not passionate about City?
Cutting out the 'We/Us/Our' bits wouldn't stop him being an Arsenal fan and it's not like it's unknown. Seems such a minor thing to get bent out of shape on.

Lovely stuff!Regulation, control, scrutiny and sanctions are coming and City are be using soft influence to encourage and shape it.
City’s reach and growth as a global sports enterprise is beyond most laymen’s imagination.
The days of the red cheeked arses domination are over, they know it and hate it because ultimately everything will have to be above board and subject to independent public scrutiny.
As for little neville the bitter prick, he won’t even be amongst the bag carriers.
It’s our time and we’re entering the final furlongs !!
He is gary neville fucking yonner? His limited intellect and poor judgement were brutally exposed when he hosted HIGNFY.
We’re among the leaders of the counterculture that have wanted regulated capitalism for a decade.
And we’re prepared for what is coming.
Don’t mind Neville as a pundit but get the feeling he’s not as clever as he thinks he is.
His tweets on politics and football admin always seem to have the air of someone showing off but oblivious to his own hypocrisy.
I think he would do well to avoid trying to get in a debate with Martin Samuel as he would come off 2nd best.
Good to see Martin’s pissing off all the right peopleRat face not happy with Martin SamuelView attachment 74585

The long-term change will be clubs (who own their own content) broadcasting matches and taking the lion's share of revenues. It will be more like the boxing pay-per-view model and will produce a huge increase in revenues for the clubs. The clubs have the product and don't need a middle man to broadcast it. The technical side of streaming is easy to organise. SKY will become obsolete so all the parasites like Neville and his chums will be on the scrapheap. This is why the media is fighting so strongly against a Super League which would manage its own broadcast deal directly with the clubs. The relationship between the PL and broacasters (and PGMOL) is driven by self-interest.We hear talk about sky losing the pl etc but will it make any difference ? I think the so called free west has been a Corporatism for at least a decade and nobody has noticed. Man’s ability to find new ways for the rich to exploit the poor is amazing. Capitalism, Corporatism, Communism, Technocracy, we always lose.I agreed with much of your post, but not the conclusion.
To be a leader you have to have followers and we don't.
But one thing is certain, we're not supportive of a regulator because we're counter culture, unless you think our crony capitalism is somehow better than Yanky crony capitalism.
As for prepared for what's coming? There's no way to know that. All we want is the status quo gone because it works against us, but that wasn't always our view.
These past fifteen years we've wanted to be part of the status quo. We are where we are coz the old guard won't let us in, in fact they're actively hostile, so there's a potential upside for us if the regulator muzzles the fuckers who want us gone.
As for what replaces it, particularly under this government, is anyone's guess. Chances are it'll work to our advantage but I suspect our real motivation for the regulator is down to the realisation that we're never going to join the closed shop.
Can’t see a regulator stopping the historic elite controlling the Premier League.I agreed with much of your post, but not the conclusion.

It will be probably. I watch a lot of streams from other tv companies and all the pundits show up on them. I think there must be a 'pundit pool' that broadcasters can pick from. A bit like tinder but less sexy..Without checking, surely that's not true?
Watched the match on a channel i'd not seen before (vidio; think it was Malaysian) and the coverage pissed all over sky's. The cameras were either flying around on drones or pitchside and right in the action. Crowd noise was unfiltered and loud, commentators voices were more in the background.I had the misfortune of tuning into a Sky stream for yesterday's match for 30 seconds of ratboy & spitty's screeching when my US based stream went a bit wonky. It's worse than watching FanTV. Even Lee Dixon was more professional than those 2 clowns and Peter Drury is head and shoulders clear of Tiresome as the main commentator too.
I think what City want is a level playing field, not sure they ever wanted to be part of any cartel. just imagine that, we've rubbed their noses in it without 1.I agreed with much of your post, but not the conclusion.

this all day long ^Had the misfortune to watch the last half hour yesterday at my brother's on sly. The only one who made any sense was roy fking keane! Micah literally has become the comedy jester, not strong enough or able to articulate well.
Did Neville's mum cut his hair and choose his clothes? He looked like a bewildered idiot.
Clubs will be broadcasting their own games very soon and sly/bt will be extinct. They've had over a decade to evolve their coverage, instead they're firmly entrenched in 90s fan boy territory. I believe their subscribers are haemorrhaging big numbers, the printed word is dying a death.
Like I say I watch foreign streams in preference, have to say the American one fronted by Rebecca Lowe is particularly decent as it's innovative and tries to analyse, something that spit and ratty could never do in their dreams.
I think there will be an increase in fan produced content, though hopefully not fan TV bantz!
There's a huge market for intelligent non pandering content which the usual suspects have been utterly oblivious to, shame.
We do have followers (both in the premier league and down the divisions), they just aren’t vocal ones, and for good reason. I think you may be thinking of the change that is happening (and coming) in too narrow of terms. It is going to be seismic, due to a confluence of factors not seen for many decades (which reaches well beyond football, by the way).I agreed with much of your post, but not the conclusion.

Whilst we are all crying out for unbiased coverage it’s not gonna happen. It’s getting worse.this all day long ^
We're all crying out for less of this fanboy shite and more analysis. Football nowadays is technically beautiful, but they just reduce it to shit that sells.
