Travel Plan Management

4.1 Overview

In order to maximise the chances of success of the FTP, it is important to have an implementation strategy with clearly identified roles and responsibilities to maintain momentum.

The most successful Travel Plans have management support and dedicated staff resource to manage and oversee them. It follows that the decision to develop and implement a Travel Plan should be a formal commitment at the highest level of the organisation in liaison with TfGM and Manchester City Council.

I read that earlier, they talk about easing congestion but want force everyone into the City Centre, the most congested locality.

There are several head hazards along the canal, it isn't suitable for walking after dark, and most of it is a shithole.

Confirmed in the docs that the local expanded parking restrictions are being brought into try and get people not to drive to the ground, but to instead use public transport, buses, trams, trains, walking, etc. Also due to concerns from the local residents about additional traffic caused by the Coop Live Arena and the expanded Etihad. The club are supportive of this measure.

Premier Leagure rules and regulations, UEFA laws and bylaws, club accounts and annual statements, CAS cases and legal precedents, Court handling and appeal procedures, transfer registration processes, visa requirements and immigration law, surgery reports on muscle and ligament injuries... and now PAC reports, TIAs and crowd movement modelling.

Is there anything Bluemooners won't forensically examine out of love for the club?

Apparently they wont be affected.
Work starts this September mate, club shop is being demolished and the office space opposite the West Stand var park is already being converted into the club store ! Ground work and pileing will also begin about this time !

It almost seemed like the club were the driver for the idea from reading it.

They should be smart and make it look like a manc bee.

The fins/sails on the side of the (otherwise bland as muck) hotel and commercial block are described as inspired by the club badge ship sails and nautical themes. Awkward, just now with the timing of it.

I could be wrong, but I'm sure it formed part of the S106 obligations from the South Stand planning permission. Was part of the transport mitigation there, along with a couple of bus/taxi laybys and some junction works, plus the signage/promotion of the walking routes.

Once the Collar site is developed the only parking spaces left will be the back car parks, unless City build multi-storey car parks elsewhere on the Etihad Campus, which they won’t. In essence it means City have no option but to try and slowly phase car usage to get to the Etihad Campus as there will only be limited parking spaces at the back of the Etihad Campus.

A good page to read that one. The glazing behind/along the sides will help get noise reverberating around the stand and down onto the pitch. Should really help boost the atmosphere. You want the most vocal fans at the back of the stand making that happen. Shame about the hospitality soon. Something to work on with the club. You don't want a load of empty seats pre-game in your most vocal section.

There's also a page which shows the proposed roof structure includes points to hang gigantic tifo's which go from ceiling to pitch level. That would block any view of some empty hospitality for the big games at least!

Last one from me for now - although not labelled as such, what it does do is show the side elevation comparisons between the South Stand Expansion and the North Stand Expansion - the rake of the seating and the height of the back row is less to allow for the Sky Bar to fit in above - which in itself seems to have multiple levels of 'loadsa-money-ness' levels for City Fans with money to burn to occupy! ;-)

And very very last word from me - I think the way they've done this wouldn't prevent us from extending upwards/backwards on the sides further if we wanted to in the future!

Take the hospitality issue out if this.

The first 11 rows, 648 seats, are not being made GA. So the fans who have always sat on the first 11 rows on NSL2 will be forced to move.(unless they buy a hospitality season ticket)

That wasn’t communicated by the club to those fans who will be effected during the fan consultation.
But most on here wanted them families /Focs gone anyway and replaced by vocal fans . They was always being shafted
