So after going 4pts clear of Arsenal, both of us played the same games, Arsenal being 8pts in front of us 4 weeks ago, you want to moan about the crowd?What do you want from them. There's no need for excuses, people can support the way they choose. For some it's loads of noise and singing, for others it's not.What do you want from them. If.youre worried about the atmosphere make.more noise yourself and stop making choices for everyone else.
I pondered this with a mate after the arsenal game. Do you think the atmosphere was better before the south stand extension where there were more away fans pitchside? I’ve always thought having a noisy raucous away end always added to the atmosphere. Could be completely wrong

The lack of effort from loads of our fans at times is disappointing yes, but not sure you’re right about the full 90 mins, we gave as good as we got for a lot of the first hour (by we I mean South Stand). They were really loud tbf in the last half hour, as they gave it the old “look at us we’re getting beat and we’re still singing, we’re the best in the world”. Definitely some of our fans need to look at themselves letting them own us in the last half hour though - if more than 20% of the stadium put more effort in, fans like Leeds wouldn’t be be able to take the piss at all.Leeds outsang us for pretty much the whole 90 mins, other than right after our goals :( Honestly, we have to be better than this, considering what the players are fighting for. Our players are handicapped not just by the officials at times, but also by our home support in games like this. Our support is honestly shite. It’s all well and good singing against Arsenal, but tbh they don’t really need us in those games. They need us on days like today.
I’m upset that we are chasing a treble and our support is up there with the worst in the league on days like today. Most fans only bother for the big games. It’s embarrassing and it does ruin my match day experience. I don’t need to post well done city in the match day thread. I thought the crowd today was ok. One thing I noticed that was on several occasions there was 3 songs on the go from various blocks.
Felt like the only time it got going was "city, city the best"....etc.....
Not suggesting we need a Munich style conductor, but there was an attempt to get things going in what was quite a flat game

It didn’t add to our atmosphere though. It just helped the away fans. Away fans shouldn’t come into it we should be outsinging then
For me though I thought blocks 110/111 were much louder back then than the south stand - blocks 114-115
‘Among the worst in the league’ is harsh imo fella.We didn’t sing as a crowd for the full 90 but who does? Don’t get me wrong,it’s right that we want to push harder, but I dont think anyone sings the number of songs we do and I don’t think we’re uniquely quiet anymore as a home crowd. Even an oldie today in ‘singing the blues’. Another shit set of fans coming and being silent for 70 minutes singing the usual “WWYWYWS” and “Football in a library” before breaking out into 5-10 mins of singing the same same song and claiming they took over the ground and were so loud throughout the game.

Some of the older blues will know we did this all the time back in the day. Get outclassed 5-0 at Highbury, so all we could do was sing - and it wasn’t just for the last half hour.
