We are staying at the Orka Royal Sirkeci not far from sultanahametWe have too.
Fack sake let's hope it's moved to Cardiff.A woman I work with has had property in Turkey for the last 20 years, she's just got back from a two week trip and says the prices for have absolutely rocketed to levels she's never seen before. She was showing me her receipts for some of the prices she paid.
£20 for burger and chips
£15 for 2 ice creams and a can of coke
£7 for a single spirit and mixer
£12 for 2 beers.
She seems to think it's part of some political plan to ruin tourism and de-westernise the tourist areas.
anfield is only logical answer they they can still jib in with easy travel from scandinaviaFack sake let's hope it's moved to Cardiff.
Last time it got moved 15 days before the final did it not?
Yeh I think they were on the red list for travel or somethingYeah I think it was late in the day but I can’t remember how late, was it just because of Covid?
Cheers. Yeah, I knew it was a few changes to get to and from the stadium but should be able to get there and back nonetheless. I take it with it being a 10pm kick-off that it will run into the early hours to allow fans to get back to the city?Nowhere is ideal for the metro to the stadium. Will require 3 or 4 changes to get back to Taksim and take at least an hour.
Under normal circumstances, it would cost about £15 in a taxi (the currency exchange is massively in our favour) but I suspect there won't be enough taxis around, and they'll up the rates.
Most likely to get an alcoholic drink in and around Taksim and Galata though (it's hit and miss).
I heard a rumour that the clubs are being advised to prepare for it to be moved to Barcelona.Back to Portugal or St Denis I bet?. If this has to be done, let's do Wembley.
There are shit loads of hotels mate, who did you book it through as a matter of interest?I’ve had my hotel booking cancelled by the hotel. Obviously going to resell at 4 times the price, wankers.

Yeah, this happened with me yesterday on Hotels.com. Have booked another and so far they've not cancelledI’ve had my hotel booking cancelled by the hotel. Obviously going to resell at 4 times the price, wankers.
This is worrying - I have already booked flightsNormally we would have booked a weekend break in Istanbul as we did in Milan, Kiev, Madrid, and Paris.
I remain convinced that this match could be relocated at short notice. The Turkish General Election could turn nasty.
If Erdogan loses the election, he will probably refuse to accept the outcome and it will all kick off. If he wins under questionable circumstances, the opposition will probably riot.
The first round is on 14 May and, if necessary, the runoff is on 28 May. The first round results will give an indication if the results are likely to be accepted.
I will think about booking next week.
Seems like you might have quite a bit of company ;-)I want to book a flight but the whole moving fiasco is putting me off more than not getting there as worst case scenario I’ll have a 3 day holiday in Istanbul haha
Isn't the Nou Camp getting redevelopment work done soon as the season finishes? Pretty bad choice of ground to pick if this is true.I heard a rumour that the clubs are being advised to prepare for it to be moved to Barcelona.
