I thought he was the best player of the 1st half, decent in the 2nd half as well. The lad needs a chance, I would be happy to give it to him, we don't need a new winger.

Did well today, clearly an awkward kid.....but he looked a bit more comfortable and confident.

His style is so unique,he just glides at times.

There is a player in there,a bloody good one,but he needs regular football.....so Id definitely be loaning him next season.

The issue with loaning him out is he doesn't get to work with Pep and our staff and world class players every day.

There's no reason he can't get more game time over the next year or two, even off the bench. Pep clearly rates him enough to want him in the squad, so there's a case that it's more beneficial for him to be here than loaned out to some club in a relegation dog fight with managers coming and going, or some championship club where his standards are going to drop.

Decent game today, especially the first half.

A lot of people near me were giving him pelters I think thought he was ok gonna be rusty with sk little minutes and his confidence can't be great ... Let's see him in the next few games

Needs game time and probably a season getting his backside booted up in the air In the Championship, though I’m still wary of the merits of that for a winger. Saw in the first half that he could skin Azpilicueta for fun, yet in the second half he had five yards on him but still got reeled in. More game time will give him the stamina he needs, but I’d like to see him be a little more ruthless as well.

Lively 25 mins then faded but so did the whole team. Set the goal up. Decent but over the season he hasn’t really progressed much for me.

How the heck do you expect him to progress when he barely features? He was as lively as anyone else on the pitch today in the first half. He clearly has loads to work on but the talent is there for all to see.

Doubt he will be loaned, more likely sold with an option.

Good kid with hopefully a solid PL career ahead of him, but I’d be gobsmacked if he ever reached the standard where we would bring him back

Apart from his crime of turning up with a haircut from the first Blackadder, I thought he was decent today. Faded as the game went on but nice and lively in the early stages.

To be fair that’s a fairly common haircut in Manchester. I agree with everything else you’ve said
