Leroy Sané

How old is he now? Question should be, are there better and younger players available instead? If not then a no brainier, if so then we shouldn’t be entertaining it.
He would be a good Mahrez replacement if Mahrez leaves. And we have some good youngsters coming through and knocking on the door to the first team, like Palmer and Oscar Bobb

Mrs. sane will be hoping this all turn out to be true and her hubby returns to City
So will his children as they all live in Manchester so will get Daddy home all week instead of him just living in Manchester on his days off.

Would be a good Mahrez replacement signing (I have a feeling Mahrez is on his way out).

At cut price deal for 25m I would take Sane. We need a new Pep madness to replace Pacy Walker as RB with Sane

Make no mistake, Bayern have the same Leroy we had back then:

inconsistent, motivational issues, no resilience when things go wrong, questionable training attitude, lazy defensive workrate. We had all of that here, tbh. If you can put aside your romantic memories...

Leroy will always be the player where you see immense potential but he doesn't really deliver. City, Bayern, German team:
Consistently inconsistent. Makes you mad.

I would lose my faith in City's fantastic scouting of the last years when Leroy came back.
We have finally made it to the top after signing mentality monsters like Ruben, Rodri and Erling. We have brought in top attitude, passion, resilience, intelligence, leadership, responsibility and team spirit.
All of that is making the difference between "good" and "top".
Leroy clearly fails in any of those points.

I wouldn't understand if we binned that winning philosophy and buy questionable attitude. Especially as we exactly know what Pep demands.

Spot on,

The only way he comes back to City is on a free transfer with no promises of game time unless he works hard in training and for the team,

Pep the manager is a monster and demands 100% work rate and work hard for your teammates, This was the trouble with Sane, if you don't do the things Pep asks of you then you're out the door with no comebacks

Would love the Sane we once saw back

but it’s like them old trainers that you had when you were on the kippax and were the best in the business

Not like they used to be and better options now out their

For me, he made his choice when he wanted to get out, drove his price down, and used us to develop and move on to where he thought the grass was greener. Besides, we have since moved on from that sort of player. I don't think he is any better than he was, and maybe not even that level. He had moments of brilliance, but he's a sort of shiny player who looks good in the highlights on YouTube, but I don't think he is all that over 90mins. Good player, but I would want someone younger with a top-notch attitude. Once upon a time, I thought he would turn into that player, but he is 27 now and never made that step. We need players with the mindset of Ruben Dias, etc., not Sane.

To be fair, him going to Bayern at the end if his City contract was always the plan.

I recall this being said when we signed him. Five years in Manchester followed by a dream move to the German Rags.

He's improved, but unfortunately, he's not kicked on to the levels everyone thought he would...

He can play both wings, still has electric pace, is a great secondary goalscorer and will put balls on a plate for Haaland.

He’d be a very useful squad player, we miss a bit of real pace and directness at the moment, but I don’t see him as a superstar that’ll start 50 matches a season.

Will Sané settle for this & accept he'll have to fight for his place though?

All things considered, especially with his family living & settled in Manchester, I'd say yes.

Akanji came in as an eleventh hour signing when we had Laporté & Dias out injured, Aké recovering from injury & then to compound matters Stones got injured too.

Few expected him to be anything more than a squad player, but he's proved everyone wrong! My player of the season by a country mile. I don't think we'd have had the season we have without him.

All of this for FIFTEEN FUCKIN MILLION QUID! What a Txiki masterstroke! :-)

I’d welcome him back with open arms but not sure the move makes much sense given our playing style.

As long as he understands he'll be rotation for teams that require that kind of unlokcing. the back 5 look solid as fuck, (with gvardiol/kova in the mix) the front 5 in movement and transition could be a decent split.

Control (back 5) Chaos (Front 5)
