Actually, that, to me, doesn't look like a bad career move for Laporte. Him + money might do it. No idea if he wants to live in Germany, of course.

I don’t reckon that’s true, Pep talked about the body language of players during the season and Laporte was obviously one of those players if he stays and we bring Gvaridol that’s 6 centre backs and Laporte will be 6th place in pecking order. This could cause problems within the changing rooms.

Laporte has been wanting to leave for a few years now, so after the scenes of him crying after Chelsea at home everyone knew this is the time. So with him leaving Pep wouldn’t have Ake as the only left footed defender plus Ake is completely different to Laporte. With Laporte you lose the quick switches of play to the right hand side and the breaking the press with his passing ability. So Gvaridol is the perfect replacement in my eyes.

Nobody is questioning that Laporte will be leaving ?
The point is Gvardiol will be signed before Laporte leaves.
