It's nowhere near subtle. It's absolutely blatant. However, it warms the cockles of my heart, to know that our success pains them so much, they have to resort to such petty, child like measures. It's absolutely fucking killing them.

It’s clearly going on and has for many years.
It’s not just that the original article doesn’t mention City, it’s that when the google bot scans and indexes the page City won’t be searchable there either.

The opposite happens on negative City stories or negative ones that can be linked however tenuously to City. Eg ‘ex Man City star (played 3 games) found guilty of…’

The 180 degree difference in reporting of united on the other hand…
United fan mocks Hillsborough dead at FA cup … no mention of united, till finally edited day later.

What was one of the biggest events this weekend - Glastonbury… can you guess which football club had an entire main page story about a musician who supports them… go on you’ll never guess…

If it was the odd time, then it wouldn’t be noticed, it wouldn’t matter, and this thread would be pretty short… but it’s not the odd time, Infact it’s ‘not in my lifetime, it’s every time’.

I pick up on a lot of it, as I have an OCD style pattern recognition brain - scan but don’t read everything, but word patterns are easily seen… it is incessant subtle bias on the BBC.

Gundo's first two years were underwhelming until he transformed into Mr Whippy. He will be remembered as a City great but Pep and co are looking ahead and age is not on Gundo's side. The move to Barca will prolong his playing career in a pleasant environment, add to his pension fund and add to his experience of playing in another major league should he decide to move into coaching/management.

That was actually quite a clever bit of marketing. The guy didn’t just happen to stroll on stage in a United shirt he had in his wardrobe.

He was paid to play his set in the previously unreleased new shirt.

It was effectively the unveiling of the new kit. But instead of a few players modelling it and images put on the club website, they unveiled it at an event shown live on television and watched by millions around the world.

Yes it was. But it's hardly a main news item on the BBC website...which is the point, there's clearly a lot of lunchtime meetings on Salford docks, as various people from the Scaffold and MediaCity meet up to discuss the latest puff positive PR united piece that can be shoehorned onto the website.

Today may be the last time I buy it, the coverage of our treble consisted of an article by a supposed City fan called Tony Curran. Tony if he exists has fallen out of love with the club but can't quite let go. His view of the treble," Arsenal were demoralised by defeat at the Etihad and gifted City the title." " United were passive in the final nearly snatched a late equaliser, and we would not have fancied extra time". " The champions league final was a cagey affair won with a gritty defensive performance, a team running on fumes were fortunate to meet opponents who only stretched them in the very final stages". Well Tony with friends like you who needs rags and dippers. Both United and Inter played as well as they were let, did you miss the host of missed chances and the farcical refereeing in the cup final. The CL final was a meeting of the two top teams in Europe always going to be a game of fine margins, did you forget we put out Real and Bayern on the way. Of course we were running on fumes the treble is f*****g hard that's why it's only been won twice by an English club. Either support us with joy or stop supporting us and please don't write carping articles that will only give comfort to our many detractors.

IF he’s real (which I’d seriously doubt) he needs to stop pretending to be a blue and fuck off somewhere else. Maybe follow rugby or something. How can you experience the pure joy and emotion of achieving the best treble ever - after all the negative shit slung at us - and see it that way.

I too subscribed to WSC for about 30 years but cancelled my subscription earlier this year after a string of articles full of City Bingo bullshit. I told them my reasons too but without response. My last copy before my subscription ended was the March issue and I chucked it away without reading it.
 
Jesus, I can’t believe that magazine is still going. I remember finding a copy on the train on the way home from some away game in the 80s, and thinking it was brilliant. Bought it myself for a couple of years after that. Think it was the first fanzine I ever saw.

I seem to remember it was Blackpool fans behind it?

I’m amazed any of these type of things are still going in this internet age.

The cameras picked out a few sad bastards wearing Rag shirts at Glastonbury…I mean why, just why, would you do that. Having said that they were ugly fuckers and seemed to have no mates. They didn’t have any girls with great tits sat on their shoulders or anything. In fact the women who anywhere near them seemed to be either plug ugly with no tits or generally heifers/bovines.
Support the rags…be a loser.
