PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

How can we have a fair hearing when shit like this is making headlines like this everyday. The media are doing their best like they have from day one with regards to our owners, maybe they should have done the same as the Glazers that way we wouldn’t be of interest to any media.

Why doesn't the club defend itself more and
Start going after these cunts for defamation of
character.
Start banning some of these fuckers from the ethihad. Do something fffs.

Nothing any journalist has said tonight has been slanderous so there is nothing to go after. It might have been wrong or rehashing stuff but not slanderous.

One of the major criticisms of the UAE are its laws and attitudes to dessent and journalism, so banning journalists for reporting on an investigation would play right into their hands.

The club is defending itself by retaining the best legal representation. They will hopefully prevail.

They're also investing more in its own City media team and their output so as to bypass traditional outlets.

Just saw the David Dein clip. Ha ha - fair play to him. I don’t think Morgan was expecting that - probably thought a fellow Gooner would go all in on us!

Do you think he’s possibly trying to distance himself, the accusations are that Arsenal have been the main ringleader. He had 3 choices….

1. Refuse to appear as there is an ongoing investigation.
2. Slander us.
3. Defend & say nothing proven.

We know they only think of themselves so why was that the best course of action for Arsenal, Dein.

When we were first trying to break up the monopoly of the ‘big/top 4’ I was of the opinion that I didn’t want the same teams winning it every year and I welcomed the competition.
(Everything we fought against)
It kept things exciting.
Well FUCK THAT!!
With all the shit we have to put up with on a weekly basis, the lies, the hate, the agenda.
For what?
All cos we took titles off their media darlings.
Fuck em all.
Turn it into a farmers league, burn the fucking thing to the ground for all I care.
It’s time to start fighting fire with fire.
I’d start by pulling the plug on any future investments into the uk.
Let’s see how all these smug cunts act when the government really do get involved.
This witch hunt fucking stinks.

the media pressure should have no effect on the outcome of the case and i dont feel city are that fussed about it. at end of the day like CAS it will come down to the facts of the case. If we cant defend the charges with the amount of legal representation we are no doubt throwing at it and based on facts then it will show that we havnt followed due process.

Such a new revelation that it was in the Guardian in 2020 and was part of the UEFA evidence which was dismissed by CAS. You would think Keegan would have checked on Google and phoned up David Conn.
Mike Keegan eats his crayons, he certainly can't fucking write anything sensible with them

Honestly, anyone who can’t see what our enemies/rivals are doing is beyond fucking hope. It’s glaringly obvious.
Seriously, the time must be coming where the club "step up" and silence these chancers with libel action. Alleged journalists and their editors who fuck with their nonsensical rubbish to maximise hatred and tribalism.

I gave Arsenal £15mill so they could put a third and winning bid in for Rice.

That aside, I fucking hate football journalists. They have made a living out of lying, being two faced bastards, and have shame whatsoever.
I dropped half a crown on the Kippax in 1976, that was surely the springboard to our current success. I'm available to be interviewed under oath........................

So another big, fat nothing burger?

Etisalat was described pretty completely in the CAS award and, as far as I am aware, the facts aren't disputed. There is no mystery to me, other than why the club felt compelled to record the money from ADUG as a reduction of the receivable from Etisalat rather than through a current account from ADUG.

As far as I am aware, short-term funding and its repayment is allowed by FFP, so I am not even sure what the actual issue is.

There is no impact on the true and fair view given by the accounts due to the treatment of the Etisalat sponsorship. So that goes right of the window on day one. The rest is for lawyers to argue over. Fraud? Deliberate concealment? Good luck proving that when we can roll-out a dozen witnesses who were involved explaining why what happened happened the way it did. Would be a foolhardy panel to say all those witnesses were lying when the only evidence they have is a couple of "out of context" emails.

Maybe the PL is hoping the club will settle so everyone can say we were found guilty. I am not sure Mansour and Khaldoon are in the mood for that.

If Piers Morgan told me his real name is Piers Morgan I still wouldn’t believe him, he’s no credibility whatsoever, just an egotistical prick who supports a failing football team, what a ****.
PiersMorganisaC@nt.com should be our shirt sponsor next season in a 4 billion one season deal paid in crypto currency via the Cayman Islands

Do you think that our owners will review the reasons for our dominence last season and conclude that the combo may not have happened without the PL charges?

In other words from an investment point of view is there a benefit in being demonized by all and sundry?

We seem to be forcing rivals to spend at a time their brand superiority has plumeted.

Forgetting FFP simply from an accountancy point of view they are struggling financially.

I’ve been saying this for ages
Doesn’t need to be everyone just one big hitter putting em out of business
That would be a warning to the rest.

Sorry to say it really does look like we are guilty,
Just happened to hear the world renowned footballing intellectual Shebahn Aherne (no me neither?) on Talkshite radio this morning saying "Regarding Man Citys charges, its obvious there can be no smoke without fire"
Case closed I think, take the points and the titles away, and relegate us now & as a club we are very, very sorry.

You still don't get it do you? Has any of the sh1t affected our performance, stopped us winning things, stopped us buying players or affected our bottom line? We are probably the fastest growing club on the planet. I think the boss has got it spot on.
