Meh. Barr Kane we have the gest English players already.Premier league proven, cheap and allows another foreign spot. Bit gutted we missed out. There’s better players out there, but for price and versatility, he was a bargain.

I just think we don't need to replace the right hand side, Phil needs a direct route to starting games now, certainly if Bernie and him can rotate.
If Bernie leaves, we absolutely need a right sided back up of serious quality.
Also suffers from Engerland player syndrome where he believes he's better than he is. Pep wouldn't have him near our club with his attitude. Spurs suits him fine as he can act like a gobby trophyless wanker. Adored by Spuds and no one else.Premier league proven, cheap and allows another foreign spot. Bit gutted we missed out. That's a perfect summation in my view. Mahrez was one of our best players in recent years on the occasions he was on it but I never felt he was one to be beside in the trenches when the going got tough.I thank him, but I won't miss Mahrez one bit.
He was very disappointing in the run-in, dialling it in and not even bothering to help when the kids were starting.
We have had our money's worth and I have always felt he plays the game for himself, rather than the team.
To get a decent fee for him at his age is miraculous.

Is that right? Still, good PL player at a good price. Ah well, no point crying over I’m sure we’ll get someone decent in.He doesn’t allow another foreign spot because we already have four English qualified so he would take up a foreign place
Mahrez's reaction when the final whistle went in Istanbul was bizarre, there's a clip from the sideline and he seems completely underwhelmed while everyone else runs on like a loon. Like you say, I thank him for his contribution, you could always guarantee goals and end product with him whether or not he was starting games, but I won't miss the Mahrd-arse (see what I did there) as a personality in the squad.I thank him, but I won't miss Mahrez one bit.

Difficult to know what’s going on but at some point the club will need to take control of the situation. Within reason if a player wants out, then let them go - if they think they are done at City and who can blame them after last season - both parties need to move on - But the club need clarity. We can’t wait all summer for the likes of Walker to decide what he’s doing. We have wonderful players who have achieved everything and we need to respect them but, ultimately the club comes first.… we need to have the strongest possible squad to start next season.
We got around 2 months to sort it all out players wise
Yeh, I was a big Sane fan as well, but he flirted with the German rags for a long time before getting his move and the petty bastard in me wants to say ‘fuck him’, even if it entails biting off my nose to spite my face. I’m with Pep on Alvarez. He just isn’t a wide player. Neat and tidy and a top drawer finisher, but I’m not sure there’s too much in terms of trickery or a change of gear to cut it out wide on anything other than an emergency basis. If Riyad goes, I’d want to see someone come in. I’m in the bring back Leroy camp if Riyad goes.
Palmer needs to go out on loan.
We could also use Alvarez in a wide position but Pep doesn’t seem keen on that.
Maybe a young player is the best option.
I do think playing Foden a lot more could pay dividends.

I don’t understand the desire to bring in a player who left because our current manager didn’t like his work rate and didn’t play him.If Riyad goes, I’d want to see someone come in. I’m in the bring back Leroy camp if Riyad goes.

Cole Palmer I love to watch, what with all those shoulder drops and changes of direction that leave defenders sat on the floor, but I thought he was a bit disappointing last season and maybe a loan would be a good way of getting him gig sharp
I can see why the club want to keep them.Mahrez is similar to Walker that they are still valuable squad members but at their ages we still have look for replacements at some point.
But I doubt we are going to lose all 6 in one window although we'll lose a couple more next summer.I can see why the club want to keep them.
While we definitely need to refresh soon, we could lose an awful lot of experience in one Summer.
If we do end up losing Gundogan, Walker, Mahrez, Laporte, Cancelo and Bernardo, that's 6 of our 8 oldest outfield players - and none of them are especially old.
I guess the positive is that the squad is full of treble winners, and that kind of experience puts a player on another level in terms of confidence and maturity. I suspect Real Madrid won so many CL titles, partly because they weren't as scared to lose.
Yeah, keep piling up shit on him with your fellow anti-Mahrez bandwagon. A great player like him has warmed the bench many times and seen Jesus, Foden and Silva play in his spot without making a fuss. You can't ask more humble than that. If he was so mardy, why would Pep still want him? You're just reiterating the shit about him that has started on the first day he came. People like you don't deserve him.Mahrez's reaction when the final whistle went in Istanbul was bizarre, there's a clip from the sideline and he seems completely underwhelmed while everyone else runs on like a loon.
