Farage is happy. He's got his party in power. There he was, dad dancing with Cruella, and every line of bullshit he peddled to achieve it was seen as an existential threat to the tory party by Cameron.
Own goals don't come much bigger than that, and what a price we are paying for it.
They are headed for a schism after the election. Farage will be welcomed in out of desperation when they’ve lost 75% of their seats and he’ll win the leadership election against the assortment of nutters and nobodies lining up to replace Sunak.
Old fashioned One nation tories will not be in a party lead by Nigel Farage and Priti Patel, so either they’ll split off or resign.

My working assumption on Mordant's whole look and tone was that it was an attempt to mimic Thatcher.
Depending on your definition of competence she was the last effective Conservative leader and the base look back at her dewy eyed. It's hardly surprising she'd try to tap into that but it did come off as weird and unnatural.
