The Conservative Party

So Lord Snooty becomes "Brexit Opportunities Minister" bastard (BOMB). They're even gaslighting with ministerial job titles. It comes the same day that the Public Accounts Committee says it can't find any Brexit benefits, but delays, more paperwork, and costs for business.

Always thought that the greatest practical difficulty for Brexit proponents would come this summer when tourists started travelling en masse. To date, far fewer people have visited the EU, but this summer, when people head for the sun, they’re likely going to be facing snail-pace queues at borders but see EU citizens flowing through freely.

On Mogg’s appointment, I can’t help feel that Johnson is rather cleverly positioning him for the fall later in the year if/when things go awry.

He is supposed to be getting rid of EU laws?? Which EU are these? The only EU laws we have to obey are those laws that allow us to trade with the EU and we can't change those. I think the laws they mean are the laws that were enshrined into UK law to speed up Brexit. You know those rules we helped to implement or even introduced when members of the EU. So it is UK laws they want to scrap and they are introducing a bill to allow them to scrap these laws without oversight by Parliament.

Not sure why people think this lot believe the rules don’t apply to them .
She should resign straight away or be sacked and then step down as an MP. She is a health minister!! So clear cut. But lets see what happens, this government is so out out touch with reality I suspect she will be allowed to stay in her post.

Who remembers watching the C4 programme in 2019 on the ‘entitled rich in the know’, earning coin from Brexit.

Vlad Rees Moggie was estimated to have earned over £5m as a major shareholder from just one business post vote when said business share price climbed.

The HoC Register published a list of politicians who were charging to speak as experts on the subject around the time of the critical vote.

Remember to register that some of these sums are per- speech. And of course there was no self interest here.
  • Nick Clegg £60,000-£80,000 plus flights from California where he was working for Facebook
  • Boris Johnson £100,000.
  • Former Foreign Secretary William Hague was offered £40,000-50,000. Mind you this ones a bit like Phil Jones being offered for transfer at £15,000,000
  • Former Government minister Jo Johnson was the cheapest for hire at £15,000
  • Conservative Remainer Kenneth Clarke earned almost £14,000 for 2 speeches on Brexit
  • Former Brexit secretary David Davis was paid £19,000 for a speech to the City
  • After he left Downing Street, David Cameron trousered £120,000 for a speech to Wall Street that talked about Brexit
Vote carefully in May folks!
