We played in Ukraine when there was a war in that country. We’ve played in Turkey and there’s been a conflict going on there too between Turkey and the Kurds since 1978.
What’s Mahrez done now!?Haha ffs already 2k down
Saudi have great fighter jets and weaponry. Barclays and the UK sold some. No threat at all. Unless the whole region goes full war.I was thinking, due to the unrest in Israel & Palestine, will there be an option to move the club World Cup from Saudi Arabia if the trouble escalates
In Saudi? Im not sure Mossad are after City fans unless they need to nick a few British passport identities. Not a chance of it being moved. Though depending on how things progress the chance of kidnapping could go up so be careful what taxis you get in.
It still needs the clubs involved to agree to travel there especially if the region is still in turmoil. In Saudi? Im not sure Mossad are after City fans unless they need to nick a few British passport identities.
Saudi wants the publicity of the games and will
not move.
Indeed. If anyone thinks Hamas is going to go to Saudi and do a damned thing, I think
you’re mistaken. Same for the IDF.
This war is VERY local atm, and unless the Israeli Air Force heads to Iran, I’d expect it to stay that way.
As for the event, we NEED to win it, otherwise it will have been a massive waste of time and energy going into the Christmas period and the second half of the season!
Agree but the clubs involved may have a different opinion with their multi billion pound squads. If anyone thinks Hamas is going to go to Saudi and do a damned thing, I think

This is a warm-up for a Saudi World Cup bid. The teams will be protected like there’s no tomorrow, because the Saudis don’t want to put a foot wrong!Agree but the clubs involved may have a different opinion with their multi billion pound squads.
Hopefully it goes ahead and we win it.
It was 400 SAR last time I did it which is about 100 quid.No fear of being accepted for a VISA, it was more the VISA fee I wanted to avoid.
I think it's only £30 though for an Electronic VISA waiver (EVW) after some investigation, whereas I had previously thought it was about £140 so not as bad.
Jeddah is about 700 miles from Eilat which is the nearest Israeli City. Gaza is a further 150 miles. Can't see much happening in Jeddah. Saudi also doesn't generally allow Palestinians into the country - nevermind Hamas. This is a warm-up for a Saudi World Cup bid. Was just about to ask this...Anyone any idea when tickets will go on sale for this? Seems a bit strange that you'd register interest 2 weeks ago and hear nothing back, especially when the general sale via fifa's site has sold out
We are going to spend the same time and energy regardless if we win it or not.As for the event, we NEED to win it, otherwise it will have been a massive waste of time and energy going into the Christmas period and the second half of the season!
Just be thankful UEFA haven't enabled City's ticket office to fuck things up....Anyone any idea when tickets will go on sale for this? Seems a bit strange that you'd register interest 2 weeks ago and hear nothing back, especially when the general sale via fifa's site has sold out
Surely that misses the entire point of my post, no?!We are going to spend the same time and energy regardless if we win it or not.
Don't think UEFA have any involvement to be fair.Just be thankful UEFA haven't enabled City's ticket office to fuck things up....
