Love toasted sourdough bread with my soup.

I tried that Neville’s bread from Tesco but that gave me stomach ache. Ate it 3 times with same results so know it was that.

I like that really dark, dense pumpernickel type stuff with lashings of butter on it… I could eat a whole loaf in one sitting If it wasnt for mrs death (aka the food police)

Mrs MB used to eat that dust. It’s only half the calories of other bread because it’s half the weight, it’s a mix of bread and dust. Just have a normal slice of bread and fold it in half - you can thank me later….or not at all.

We (i.e. my better half) make our own in the bread maker. Also do some other fancier ones in the oven. Buy supermarket bread very infrequently.

If you put it in front of me I’ll eat it. It’s bread. I don’t get the snobbery, I can appreciate a nice sourdough but I’m more than happy with Tesco home brand white sliced. Bread init.

I’ve got all kinds… bagels, baguettes, sourdough bloomers, granary, farmhouse, seed batch. My house is like a grain silo.

Go to a bakery for good bread not a supermarket. Pap wet bread problems solved.

Sourdough and Lidls cheap arse wholemeal (which is actually quite nice) are the two I get along best with, most other things just bloat me like mad.

Lidl make a nice brown cob that the call low GI or summat. I have noticed that they've jacked up the price from £1.29 with another fifty pence.

Homemade granary with added seeds is my usual bread line.
