England wasting one of the most talented squads ever assembled on Southgate

And I find the praise heaped on him regardless of what is staring us in the face really tiresome.

I find the repeated listing of the rounds we got knocked out of each of his tournaments without discussing what is wrong right now as boring as fuck.

I find myself wanting to drive rusty nails through my ballsack, every time someone mentions "the culture" he has created when they have absolutely zero clue as to what the culture is at England camps.

Get some help then. Also definitely stop watching and “supporting” England. You clearly hate it.

It’s not meaningless though mate, Southgate’s tactics against this side were disappointing at best.. If it was that meaningless, why not go for it and hammer them again, keeping the momentum up and keep the winning mentality
.. All this draw has achieved has add fuel to the waistcoat denouncers (me included) and got fans talking about a piss poor performance rather than another thumping victory over a team ranked outside the top 60 in the world ..

You can’t have it both ways mate ..

Of course its meaningless?! City fans have been banging on about why our players shouldn’t be playing in matches like this as so fucking meaningless.

All international football is meaningless to me, I was merely replying to Bluehammer aka the forum waistcoat apologist .. I wouldn’t bat an eyelid if there wasn’t another international match played ever again …!

Slightly off topic but interesting all the same.

dad of one of the lads of the team i coach is an ex pro.
I asked him tonight at training who the best coach was that he played under.
Without missing a beat he said Glenn Hoddle. I suggested england should've kept him but he said his man management was appalling. He couldnt grasp that players couldnt do what he could do as a player.
He said as regards to coaching he was so ahead of his time but as a person he was a bit strange and not a people person at all and that was his downfall

And he was (still
Is) as mad as a box of frogs on smack …!

England couldn't have kept him when he'd gone and suggested disabled people were just being punished for being bad in a former life!

If he has to stay he seriously needs to change the coaching set-up he's working with. That's the perfect chance to try and get the best in class that doesn't have to be English.

Southgate's an uninspiring individual all around, but it's easy to see he's the FA middle manager who's responsible for sitting in front of the cameras and following the FA's agenda. No problem with that, he's the public face of a corporation end of the day, and players seem to enjoy playing for England and together. Which he can take credit for.

Don't think that it's Southgate putting together the pattern of play, transition work, pressing structures, working out game plans and overloads, etc. That's Steve Holland's bag - and he can get to fuck in my mind.

Southgate is a bang average manager promoted by default ahead of his abilities. The fact we've got one of the most talented squads we've had in years, coupled with a fair bit of luck has made him appear better than what he is.

As it appears we're stuck with him then he needs to be learning from the best coach in world football, Pep. He should be at our club day in day out soaking up the knowledge. As somebody else has already said he needs a more experienced seasoned coach alongside him too.
