They should show the ground replays of decisions that validate the refs on-field decision. Not just things the ref has missed and has had to award after viewing replays himself on the monitor.

Can you imagine them chanting "Cheats.. Cheats.. Cheats.." then a replay runs of the ball hitting Alvarez on the chin and shuts them down mid chant.
Cant show replays in the ground. And we all know why

So, I was right then they dont

IFAB categorically state that no outside influence is permitted in the VAR room. This obviously includes TV commentary.

Obviously some people will refuse to believe that but you can only really debate the procedure as laid out, unless there is evidence to the contrary.

Darren Fletcher confirmed this after the palace pen. He said all they are permitted to hear are the word "VAR Check"/"Check complete Offside" etc.

It was nice to hear someone have that candour.

That's why we need cunts like Ratboy and Spitty removed because their opinion when they sound like they appealing to the VAR room makes fans think they maybe influencing Stockley Park.

but they do show replays, right now it's only after the ref has been sent to the monitor to give a pen or a send a player off.

I think they should expand it showing video replay that backs up on-field decisions that were correct ie was the ball out of play? was it handball? etc. They could show a replay just before the game is restarted by kick-off.

On the big screen?

It’s a long standing rule that pre dates VAR, that they can’t show anything on the big screens that may be deemed ‘controversial’

A couple of teams have been fined for it. Tottenham I seem to remember showed something that went against them, that turned the crowd.

I mean the alternative is to have a period of silence enforced while VAR checks go on and nobody is going to want that.

Changing their sexuallity over a decision seems a bit OTT

VAR basically referee based on what pundits have said though. Whether its live or not the VAR team always manage to "fix/correct" the previous weeks bad calls.

They are most definately influenced by the pundits.
