It was widely reported Richard Masters was vetted by the Rags & Dippers before his appointment so he knows which side his bread is buttered , the quicker a government football regulator is in place the better , the Premier league need reminding there are twenty clubs in the league ,not two.

That was my experience as well. The stark reality of being "the richest club in the world with no disposable income" has revealed FFP in all its glory to the barcodes.i do think the penny is starting to drop with some opposition fans. I met Geordies before and after the game on Saturday in the pub and on the train and they were all great. They have seen the FFP farce in all its true colours. They all appeared to have a deep hatred of Arsenal (because of diving and time-wasting); United (because they lead the cartel); and Liverpool (because the scouse fanbase causes trouble everytime they play Newcastle apparently).

Do you think these charges would have happened was it not for the need to set a precedentForest and Everton fans are complaining that we haven’t been punished, but the “rules” that made us face charges were historical and unclear. Forest and Everton had time to get their heads around the rules, and broke them. We might or might not be found guilty, but they have no excuse
