PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Here are the quotes.

He does accept CAS decision, but as the figurehead of UEFA, he has to back his commission in coming to the right conclusion, even though he wasn‘t part of it.

They should have asked him why UEFA sacked the chief investigator Leterme after the CAS verdict and what he thought of Leterme forgetting to charge PSG within the time limits?

It’s a non-story.

Ceferin says that he trusted the process of his commission and that they acted properly.

CAS thought differently.

End.
The language used doesn’t really make sense
”we know we were right”
”we wouldn’t decide unless we think we were right”
Based on the six emails they had I can believe they thought they were right but the evidence proved them wrong. His first sentence may just be a clumsy defence of his organisation based on what they knew at the time…I’d be much more concerned if he came out and said CAS got it wrong - he’s not saying that.
Telegraph stirring the shit again.

still nothing on the expected development on our PL charges/case.

something will be made public (maybe date of hearing?).

wonder if they release it on Thursday so it can dominate the news just before our game vs Spurs?

Ceferin is trying to force through changes to the UEFA constitution to place he and his associates in power for a generation
So he’s trying to court and placate the old G14 dinosaurs, while at the same time pretending to be the new best mate of us and PSG
He’s playing both ends against the middle
It’s all typically dishonest politics and double dealing

But he is a supposed lawyer who doesn't respect the courts decision and is CEO of a governing organisation. Not the man in the street who claims he was fitted up.
Let's face it, are we really expecting him to fulfill his obligations as a decent, upstanding member of the mythical, 'football family' ?
We know what they are and we know what they want.
Nothing has changed since they shifted the FFP goalposts.

Wasn't it the Telegraph who reported that?
If so, it's probably the interview they have with Ceferin.
That's all that is needed to establish our guilt in the court of public opinion.

Plus they should’ve asked him why he offered us a lesser punishment a few months before UEFA announced they’d banned us for 2 years

Because Ben Rumsby wasn't bothered about any of that he got what he wanted and the Telegraph wanted with that headline! Total witch hunt by 99% of the media!

I fucking dream of a day when all of this shit ends and we can go back to just enjoying the game. It’s sucking the fucking life out of it all. If an individual is accused of something surely the accuser has to put up or shut up… this has gone on and on . It’s criminal how we have been deemed guilty before it even fucking starts! Feels like cruel and unusual punishment to me!

I don’t follow
The rules as they were at the time (not now) would have allowed him to do as Abramovic did and simply ‘lend’ us money at non commercial rates. Never intended to be paid back
There was zero need for SM to disguise anything by hiding it in fake sponsorships.
Putin’s bagman had shown the way and it was all apparently fine and dandy

It is a story though. If you read the full article Ceferin is at pains to say that he doesn't want to interfere in the PL case. But his opening remark about the PL case was stupid and reminiscent of his absurd comment that "UEFA had a concrete case" against City. That comment undermined UEFA totally and played into the hands of our lawyers. These new comments will not harm Citys battle against the PL. It implies that there is still some collusion between our enemies at UEFA and those within the PL leadership. It may help our lawyers again.

So it's basically this: "We know we were right, we just had no evidence that we were right, that's all".

UEFA's arrogance, incompetence and lack of a clue what they are doing, in a nutshell.
Im pretty sure this is what the prems logic is too. They think we’re dodgy as that’s what everyone says and the leaked emails added fuel to it, but they’ve got no evidence.

He really doesn't though.

It's like someone being accused of murder, they go to trial, the prosecution fails to prove their case, accused gets found not guilty.

Then the Home Secretary comes out and says the CPS got it right, whatever the court says.

It's not acceptable.

And on it goes. on and fuckin on in an endless loop of turgid boring bollocks! It will never end!
Well if it all goes in our favour then i’ll have to retire from work to have the longest jelly and ice cream party the world has seen. My fingers will be going like the fkin clappers winding all those twats up from the famous to the great unwashed that have had us hung drawn and quartered already.

CAS explicitly stated that UEFA were justified in investigating us.

I don’t think that’s correct because the losses would have broken the rules and I don’t think debt has or is against the rules now

Mischief-making by the Telegraph. I expect getting that headline was the sole purpose of requesting an interview with him. They even tell you the loaded question they asked to elicit the required response.

And he uses the word "concrete" out of context twice. I don't think he knows what it means.

I thought I read that possibly HRHSM put an offer in to buy the Daily Telegraph.
