The issue for me around time wasting is not that you lose the time (particularly this season as time seems to get added on more or less correctly), it’s the disruption to the flow of the game that gets me.

Refs need to book more players rather than just pointing to their watch to let us know they know what’s going on.

Might help if teams and fans being disadvantaged were a bit more ruthless.

Don’t kick the ball out for any opposition “injury”.

Captain goes to referee and starts counting for every stoppage making hand signals so the crowd can join in.

Have a separate clock in the stadium showing ball in play minutes.

And get rid of allowing teams to all fuck off for an arteta style tactical water break everytime someone goes.down feigning injury

didnt this happen with Jesus a few years ago at Palace when the ref told him to get up and play on when he had in fact done his knee ligaments?

I do remember something along those lines yes. On here I have criticised many refs but to me a lot of the criticism has to be against Everton. They feigned injury and in the second half he added it on.....and we still moan about that !

No just ignored. To be fair we caused the change. Because we never just lump it forward we don't complain when they are only 6 yards away. No every team seems to copy us.
Oh and as proof, in the first half the ref got his foam out and paced the 10 yards out.

They said there was nothing in the kick and Eddie didn't make anything of it. Same with Tarkowski handball. Not handball, except I personally have seen pks given against us for that. Surprisingly they reckoned the 2nd Dippers goal had been a foul by Macallister in the build up, but because Burnley player didn't go to ground but Macallister did then it was more of a foul on the Liverpool player rather than the reality. We do that goal is disallowed.... you know it.

I'm afraid that none of the reasons which are put forward in justification of their often inconsistent or opaque application of VAR gives me any confidence in the capability or integrity of the individuals operating or manipulating the system.

The PiGMOL / PL joint alliance is a worrying element when there are plenty of examples that certain clubs clearly hold greater sway in most of the proceedings affecting outcomes in the PL.
