Ref Watch City Games - 2023/24

My initial thought that Hooper blew his whistle as he thought that Grealish was going to be flagged offside as the assistant ref seemed to stop keeping up with play. However, after seeing the replay, Grealish was yards onside so it couldn't have been that. Only reason (and not a valid one) I can now think is that he just didn't want to run himself and just blew his whistle.

it was Sunday league reffing, he didn’t have a scooby

He clearly plays on giving the advantage, that advantage doesn't end, linesman indicates onside and the only reason to then blow is to stop the goalscoring chance, there is no other reason. Im loathe to say it but that's not incompetence it's plain old cheating in plain view. What possible explanation could he have for blowing when he did?
Unbelievably some apologists here think it's just bad refereeing. It's not.
City should be demanding an explanation.
The players rightly were fucking furious.
