Ref Watch City Games - 2023/24

HOW can you be so bad though ? He waved play on then blew when Jack was through ? There's being a bit shit at reffing but really ? I believe there's a definite subtle way to stop us winning the league, as a brand they don't want one team to win it every year, Scudamore alluded to that, yesterday he booked Rodri in the blink of an eye, he knew he was on 4 yellows, then the stop of play, I wouldn't be surprised if he did get a shout in his earpiece to blow...my view anyway
Rodri pulled back the player it was a definite yellow to be fair

Hooper played the advantage because in his eye's he didn't think there was any. Haaland had been facing back to City's goal when fouled. When Hooper waved play on Haaland was facing to the side. Haaland's pass is exceptional, and then Hooper realises his mistake. He makes a rash decision, which reveals to all his intent to load the dice, evidenced all game long.

You have though, you’ve seen it plenty of times. It was a long way away from being a goal anyway, I think Grealish would have been caught. Youu must have seen actual goals disallowed that shouldn’t have been, there’s been several this season already!

It was an absolute howler still though, I’m not denying that.
Grealish being caught does not even enter the equation. The fact is, the referee stopped a clear goalscoring opportunity, when the Laws he is applying say he should allow play to continue. He's breaking his own laws.

So you think referees are specifically instructed by the premier league to be bias against us?
And people are fuckin terrible at their jobs on a daily. People, under pressure, get split second calls badly wrong all the time. Why are refs different?

He just fucked that up yesterday.

The question to you though is HOW are the refs corrupt? You think they are ordered to be so from above. No chance
Referees can make mistakes - honest mistakes, but this does not fall into that category in my opinion, and I'm far from alone in that view.

How could he wave play on and then blow. It is more than a simple mistake.

I believe it was another corrupt decision.

No ones answering. In that split second he gave that decision, how was it corrupt? Was he ordered prior to the game to fuck us over? Was it an instruction in his ear piece ? Rather than just shouting CORRUPT, how do YOU think its corrupt

The only image it brings to my mind is that infamous New York dinner with the shithouse bosses of the prime suspects...that isn't to say it IS corrupt but so many dodgy decisions many of which are airbrushed away without scrutiny has more than whiff of rotting fish about it

Or people believe he applied the laws differently depending on the allegiance of the colour of the shirt people are supporting. Objectively, I thought he had a very good game up to that complete cock up on the advantage call.
@meltonblue you think he had a good game. Why was Grealish booked for kicking the ball away when he allowed Spurs to do it all game. That is just one instance of different 'rules' for both teams

Kinnell, magliar dragged the players back, left, right and centre the other day, time after time, The ref just looked at him and said ' Harry' apologetically. Eventually he had to card him. It's obvious the City player's have been targeted, especially Rodri. Bent as fook.

I’m with you. I don’t think theirs any conspiracy theory against us. Loads of incompetence with referees and var, but no ulterior motive.
I'd like to agree but I seem to recall a couple of instances where Liverpool players kicked the ball away last weekend and escaped a yellow card, but we received one for the same offence yesterday.
Perhaps we're seeing a lack of consistency among referees, perhaps we only remember incidents that go against us, but there's plenty of evidence to suggest we're getting the shitty end of the stick.
Three important calls in the FA Cup final spring to mind.
