Why the fuck is Holt asking Pep about thatchers sleep patterns, fucking sad sack ****

Probably hoping he'd say "I don't care the witch is dead!" So the could spin some Daily Heil bullshit that Pep is an extremist who should be deported.

City should sue this newspaper (the Mail ?), for such an inflammatory article.
It picks up on the Hillsborough Chants as if City are the only club's fans who have accused LFC supporters of anything ?
Talk to any older supporters of other clubs, nearly all of them think the Red Scouser fans are rats.
Also, why doesn't the Premier League, if they want to protect their "brand", sue this newspaper ?
Is it because it would come out that LFC fans are feral feckers ?

We all know the Always The Victims chant is about the behaviour of Liverpool fans at home and abroad and never taking responsibilty for their actions. It was always somebody else’s fault. Chelsea fans at Heysel being the prime example.

Yet LFC, Liverpool fan groups and supporters, and Liverpool MP’s have some how over time by using the media turned it into a hate chant crime about Hillsborough, which it has never has been about.

Citys PR team has been a joke for years
The PR team is doing its job with the general public.
What this club also desperately needs is an FR - Fan Relations team to understand what it is we feel comfortable with. They, in turn, should advise the PR fuckwits what to do.
The dicks in the media should not benefit themselves from their anti-City biase.

Correction. Saw City’s team bus attacked.

What chants about Hillsborough? I’m fucking sick of this lie being presented as fact, principally because the media is terrified of their fan base and dare not even print any feasible alternative explanation for the ‘always the victim’ chant - because to do so would present a can of worms that they are too fucking spineless to open.

So instead they go for the path of least resistance. And lie about it. Absolute fucking cunts.

The fact that they use the deaths of 97 of their own fans to use as a shield against any perceived criticism of Heysel and other nefarious behaviour is in itself sickening and must be called out for what it is.
It's like telling the teacher you're granny has cancer to save you doing detention
Reprehensible cunts

Agreed, but it’s the approach of our so-called free and fearless press to this which is even more reprehensible, because they are too spineless to give any credence whatsoever to the notion that it could be about their fans manifest inability to take responsibility for their actions - wholly extraneous to Hillsborough, which as you say, they use as a shield.

It’s not like there isn‘t loads of fucking material to support that view, because there is. And not just in relation to Heysel. So this isn’t some nebulous notion, imagined in the minds of football supporters - it’s actually supported by hard evidence. Not that anyone is obliged to agree with the assertion btw; I can’t discount the possibility that to some who sing it, it might be partially about Hillsborough, it’s the fact that it isn’t even raised as a possible explanation in the media, other than in a wholly dismissive, cursory way. There is absolutely no fucking debate about this in the press. None. Instead they present the chant as being wholly about Hillsborough as a matter of fact, which is completely fucking dishonest. And spineless. Because they know if they actually debate it in any way, they will be rounded on. So instead they instead present the lie as fact.

Oh my goodness. I knew there was a reason I stopped having Football Focus on permanent record and today I’ve seen one reason why!!!
Alex Scott dressed to go out to a night club rather than discuss football. How can you take her seriously dressed like that???

The highlights so far, Nedum and Shay. Well done lads. :-)
Pics?

It really doesn't matter any more, it is a narrative that has been cemented by the press that this song is about hilsborough.

Is it really a hill worth dying by on singing it, as it ultimately leads to us getting shit, more negativity about our fanbase and the club pandering to them.

plenty of other stuff to sing, and also lets not make our day out about them

But what they can't bring themselves to admit to is that 95% of the shit that has happened has come from those feral wankers over on Merseyside.
I think we're all disputing that graffiti on the bog door, no City fan would refer to them as 'kopites' absolute bs. The semi final chanting was in the concourse at Wembley, ooh what a crime especially when nobody knew a minutes silence was about to take place.
I'm not saying we're all angels but I hate it when these media cunts make it sound even by what has happened in previous games

This fixture never used to be “toxic” when City were crap. Liverpool fans would have laughed at the thought of us being rivals.

It was only when we stopped Liverpool winning trophies did the fixture become “toxic”. Then we became a problem.

City’s fixtures versus Arsenal and Utd whilst I presume are nasty at times don’t seem to be “toxic”.

Alternatively from what I gather from some on social media there is now a “grudging” respect between Liverpool and Utd fans. (This seems to have occurred with City winning trophies. But we are assured they don’t care)

Why can’t the media tell the truth.

I actually listened to the whole debate which I enjoyed and had me laughing out loud in parts. They had one City fan on who asked Jordan whether, when it became clear he'd lost £50m with Palace, whether he'd have taken Arab money. A question he refused to answer.

Then there was the Arsenal fan who, unsurprisingly, agreed with TAA and then the aforementioned united fan who was genuinely close to tears, his voice was trembling with rage and jealousy. You could imagine his seething anger with every corner we get, never mind our goals and trophies. It was beautiful radio.

Jordan, to his credit, said it was complete bollocks and TAA had no idea what he was talking about.

Jordan also waxed lyrical over our football. His gripe is that he sees City as an "image-laundering" project which is an opinion and he is entitled to it. What no-one questioned was whether he holds the same opinion about Arab involvement in other sports or as sponsors of other teams, subjects upon which he is noticeably silent, particularly when it comes to the boxing segment of the show.
He could also ask if every world cup is an image laundering project when he's doing his next lucrative little earner with tedious Jim White.

I agree mate, and I’ve never actually sung it personally, but the way it is reported in the press reveals a wider malaise and is absolutely worth highlighting.
