I said that to my wife last week. A split second wrong and it’s a penalty and sent off. Same today and he was. Split second out. Unnecessary in both instances.Ederson shouldn't risk getting a red card. That's the first rule. He was close to fouling Garnacho the previous game.
How would Pep know this? Has he x-ray vision? Good grief.I hope for his recovery during the international break.... but Pep said, his injury looks bad...
Just read it on the net, don't ask me....How would Pep know this? Has he x-ray vision? Good grief.
Well he made a mess of it for me, there was no certainty of a goal, until he committed the stupid tackle.100% on Ake this, IMO. Ederson was saving his giant error.
At least he dived the right way today. That's progress.Fun fact - ederson has saved 1 penalty in the last 31 he faced for man city. all the other 30 went in.
I'd argue he'd already fucked it up, before getting himself kicked up in the air, that was very handy for liverpool.I think he made a mistake, especially as it was Nunez, so it was just as likely he would fuck up the chance if Eddie had just run out with his wings spread.
He almost did the same thing against United. A Split second seperate a brave tackle from a penalty. I would rather he didn’t gamble quite as much.I think he made a mistake, especially as it was Nunez, so it was just as likely he would fuck up the chance if Eddie had just run out with his wings spread.
But Ake is ultimately responsible for the entire situation, so Eddie gets a pass from me.
The thing that baffles me isn't that he doesn't save them, it's that they ALL go in. 97% conversion rate. No one and I mean no one misses a penalty vs city. Think about how many penalties you've seen recently that hit the post or missed the target completely. In fact, and this stat absolutely blew me away - as long as ederson has been in net - a penalty has NEVER been missed against city (i.e not scored but not saved directly by the keeper). Ever. If ederson didn't save them, they ALL went in. Not a single miss.At least he dived the right way today. That's progress.
