Only gets referenced with Klopp too. Does Pep not get the city? Im pretty sure he does, but it never gets mentioned. Nor does it for any single other manager anywhere. Ever.
Yeah. They mentioned something about some do gooder thing Mrs Klopp in Formby. Fucking Formby! The people’s place.

Then said about because Klopp will eat in a cafe or shows he gets the people and the city.

Scouse twats.

Without reading the whole piece, I actually think Kay's view in the tweet is not unreasonable for a non-City fan.

The players and the manager are undisputedly fantastic and the best ever. The accountants might have broken some rules to get an "unfair" advantage.

I feel like we should make an effort to seperate what are reasonable takes from a rival fan who has no reason to believe Soriano or Khaldoon when they say it's all bollocks and we'll be cleared, and obviously shite takes from the likes of Harris, Carragher etc.
I've just been for a lunchtime walk round Heaton Park and was thinking this subject through. Yes, superficially, you can see his point and as I said earlier in the thread, the Mancini contract, and the fact some players got paid money they were owed, from Fordham rather than City, doesn't diminish the achievements under Pep. It certainly doesn't impact the results or performances of other clubs.

Chelsea and united have spent vast amounts of money, yet haven't come close to replicating the level of success we've had in the last 7 seasons, so there's clearly more to it than simply spending money. Like any business, it's about what you spend it on and how you marshal the resources you accumulate through that spending. It's refreshing to see someone acknowledge that, albeit maybe a bit grudgingly.

But it's the media who have parrotted this incessant narrative about "asterisks" and our success being "tainted", and Kay has to mention that, in the all too familiar context of assuming the club is guilty, when CAS showed otherwise.

Not just Pep getting crap questions in press conferences

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou says he has not been "deterred" by his job at the club, reiterating that the club still has work to do.

When asked whether the problems he highlighted after the midweek loss to Manchester City have been addressed, he said: "Not in two days, mate, no."

Doesn't much care for idiotic questions, does he?!

I was going to say they don't go on about Howe 'getting' the city though, but maybe they did years back with Keegan up there?
Yes, perhaps the point I am making is more that the Local media continually go on about how much the coaching staff and players love/get the city and region (Northumberland is great, by the way).
Before the betting ban, Tonali was held in high regard for going in a local Wetherspoons - that would never be a big deal in Manchester.
But, I recollect Kevin Keegan being nationally recognised as a fullly paid member of the Geordie Nation...
