Suarez stll had one but Liverpool totally ignored it. They did get one more season out of him and then moved him on. I am still not convinced Bruno Gumaraes' clause is for Premier League clubs either.

I have never seen any mention of one for Suarez.

There are quotes from Suarez saying that whilst he was interested in joining Arsenal, Brendan Rodgers actually convinced him to stay. So Liverpool just pretty much ignored the Arsenal bid at that point, as ultimately it’s still down to the player and they’d convinced him to stay.

If Guimaraes wants to join either us or Arsenal, he will. Just like Grealish and his release clause. As always, it depends on the player’s wishes. If he wants to join us, he will.

Fantastic options, These 5 for the 3 places is great. There is always Nunes/Lewis to help out there as well. We would be well-stocked in central midfield.

Absolutely. Realistically don't think we would be having this conversation about a "back-up" for Rodri if the work permit issues didn't arise.

More, IMO. He only turned 30 this month. He has three more years on his contract as well. I reckon at least a couple of years more with us, and then Saudi/MLS, or he could see out his contract with us and then go back to Croatia for free, for example.

Luiz would be my first choice, he seems to have that extra calmness under pressure that we see in Rodri but rarely in other DMs. Guimares would be a great signing imo, but I think Luiz is that slight bit better.

Guimares is the better player when compared with Paqueta.

I'd bet on that...

I don’t know about better, I think Paqueta is incredibly talented, but I think Bruno is a better target. His skill set is rarer - there’s not many players who can play 6 and 8 equally well and be creative from deep and around the box.

Wingers/Attacking midfielder hybrids are common as muck really, there’s a new £100m one every year.

Rodri-Bruno-Foden could be a midfield until 2030.
