I still understand it well enough thank you!I’m not sure your inability to understand how release clauses work will determine whether we sign Guimares or not.

Fair enough. You’ve not demonstrated that you understand it on here today though. :-)I still understand it well enough thank you!
If we weren't a rival to Newcastle and if there wasn't a tight deadline I would really consider this a really smooth transfer. I still think the release clause is too good to be true. Going off the attacks I think a few on here have got money riding on this.Fair enough. You’ve not demonstrated that you understand it on here today though. :-)
We aren’t really a rival to Newcastle yet.If we weren't a rival to Newcastle and if there wasn't a tight deadline I would really consider this a really smooth transfer. I still think the release clause is too good to be true.
Try telling Newcastle's owner that. They are still ambitious club even if they are missing the silverware. By putting a short release clause they must be confident enough he will stay for at least one more season even with the whole PSR situation looming. We aren’t really a rival to Newcastle yet.
Even if we were, it’s irrelevant to whether Guimares has a release clause in his contract or not.
His manager seems to think there is.
I hope you meant that in jestHas that come from the oracle that is Billy Shears?
They probably understand contract law though.Try telling Newcastle's owner that. They are still ambitious club even if they are missing the silverware. By putting a short release clause they must be confident enough he will stay for at least one more season even with the whole PSR situation looming.
If they really wanted to cash in they would of given him an extended deadlineThey probably understand contract law though.
It fits in perfectly with the FFP deadline. If they really wanted to cash in they would of given him an extended deadline
Agreed but Newcastle still hold the advantage. It fits in perfectly with the FFP deadline.
Ray please do not die on this hill. Just let it go, please. If they really wanted to cash in they would of given him an extended deadline
You are highly confident on this but still think there is a twist.Ray please do not die on this hill. Just let it go.
If Eddie Howe is to be trusted, there is a release clause.Agreed but Newcastle still hold the advantage.
There really isn’t.You are highly confident on this but still think there is a twist.
WTF are you waffling about? It looked on until the selling club pulled the plug. Newcastle can do the same to a player who has a good amount of time left on his current deal
I am neither confident nor unsure on Bruno coming in. I do not know who is coming in or not. All I know is, if a player has a release clause and its an active release clause, when its triggered and the player has agreed terms with the triggering club, then its a done deal. The primary club can not do anything about it, except to accept the money and part ways with the player. Its a legally-binding contract, whether the primary club wants to lose the player or not!You are highly confident on this but still think there is a twist.
Harry Kane deal. Levy pulled the plug. Good thing as it gave us a better go at signing Haaland.WTF are you waffling about?
I do understand that but there is also the Arsenal/Liverpool caveat. What Liverpool did was they got more money the following season for Luis Suarez. Newcastle could still bide their time. That is the twist part for me.I am neither confident nor unsure on Bruno coming in. I do not know who is coming in or not. Pulled what plug? He was under contract to Spurs AND DID NOT HAVE A RELEASE CLAUSE...Harry Kane deal. Levy pulled the plug.
But he wanted to leave and we offered good money. It looked all set for the move. He even went on strike afterwards because of it.Pulled what plug? He was under contract to Spurs AND DID NOT HAVE A RELEASE CLAUSE...
