Looks like the tories are just going to repeat themselves no matter what the question , gonna be a long six weeks , will watch the leaders debate but no news

If it involves 12-16 hours, 7 days a week, how is it that so many of them have 2nd jobs, multiple directorships, etc.

There aren't enough hours in the week. Even MPs have to sleep.

The vast majority of MPs with second jobs are Tories. They will also likely do little constituency work, and are likely not to even spend much time in parliament.

Any MP that takes the job half way seriously, with regular advice surgeries, advocating for constituents, attending local events, attending debates rather than just turning up for votes, and a lot more, will be working horrendous hours. It's a job that can easily take over your life.

The problem is that it's easy to not do any of that and you still get paid the same, and with FPTP you'll probably get voted in easily.

If their hopes were riding on a man who is permanently barred from the Westminster estate and were he to be elected he would be suspended for 90 days and face a recall in whatever seat was silly enough to elect him would have to vote again to see if they wanted to trigger a recall - a third - vote for the seat.

when did the iNews report that? Bear in mind this post is pretty up to date - I think Labour are just better organised and motivated than the Tories

They absolutely fucking did. They got absolutely fucked up the arse on PR. They should have dug their heels in and the last eight years, and the terrible journey we’ve been on as a nation, might not have happened.
