PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Is there a way to check any deleted emails? Besides the junk folder which they would obviously empty? ie, could a computer specialist if required confirm if any emails were indeed deleted?
Companies generally have data retention policies but I'd doubt that the PL has one that is so comprehensive that it maintains all deleted content for a long period of time, e.g. more than 30 days.

They probably have very strict retention for some data (tax, legal, etc) but not for day to day general conversations because that could be hugely expensive.

So I'd doubt if any old deleted conversations exist still to be recovered. But the likelihood that everyone deleted all incriminating conversations would be low unless they were all told to delete everything discussed asap. So there was probably loads still there at the point that we asked for it, especially if the people we identified were put into a "legal hold" status.

Those journos you mention with their view that Pep ball could not work here just demonstrated their ignorance. Anybody with any nous knew that English football was ripe for a change of direction and junking the hoof ball style: massive improvement in pitches, more scientific training, stats based analysis etc etc.
By the same token, remember those journos who said you can’t just buy your way to success and are now saying we have bought trophies? Charlatans.

Same journalists who back England to win every tournament ever because we have some good players and still don't see that unless you have a manager who can pick the best system and tactics for those players you will win fuck all.

For those who are wondering what the current discussion is all about:
Free till 23:59:59 tomorrow (Sunday).
This is all rather interesting.

First, the commission asking the PL for all correspondence (email, chat etc) referring to Manchester City - See Matt Lawson article refered to above.

Second, It is illuminating to me to note (chat in various podcasts I listen to and a talk shite interview comparing City charges with Forest snd Everton) that the first thing City knew about the 115 charges was a letter delivered to club offices! The infruence here is that City had NEVER been asked for information to prove or disprove the charges BEFORE the charges were laid and why City have been given ages to defend against the charges. It all rather puts the kibosh on any non-cooperation charges before the charges were laid doesn't it?

Maybe the discovery request is to ensure we can prove ( beyond reasonable doubt ) our defence against the charge of non-cooperation with the PL? In particular their requests for further information which we consider business sensitive!

If there is evidence of the PL sharing confidential information with our competitors it fully justifies our refusal to co-operate beyond a certain point?

Good call.
Looks to me like the chances of any non-cooperation charges sticking are disappearing over the horizon at great speed!

The fact that an Arsenal exec leaked to story of the unfair rules complaint to the press (via his wife) is evidence of this on it's own.

I still don't understand the legal process behind this request if it's to do with the 115 allegations. You filed accounts that didn't show a true and fair view! No, we didn't and we need to see all the correspondence you have issued about the club to prove it?

Either there is a big chunk of nastiness going on in the 115 allegations that we haven't even considered yet, or it's more likely to do with the APT claim where the PL needs to disclose all its correspondence to defend the claim of discrimination (possibly because the club has provided evidence that suggests it?)?

It's City's fault for being too good.
Been saying this all along, they dont have anything and never have had anything, this whole thing has been a massive diversionary tactic from day one by the red tops and their yank owners, its yank business 101 when you cant compete you litigate, we are taking food off their table, their fans are mad because they arent where there entitled little brains tell them they should be and it cant be because city are better run and more inventive it just cant because the red tops are special, they have history so we must have cheated we must have and this is why they need to tarnish our club because to them IF we havent cheated (which we havent by the way) then it is absolute proof that they are NOT special, that ANYBODY could do exactly the same as them and that would rock their belief system to their very core.

City claimed that the panel that brought the 115 charges was biased. Any emails between the PL and the panel that supported that claim could be very damaging for the PL
the pl is damaged beyond repair at this point, they need to get masters out and stop the tail wagging the dog, they are destroying the product at the behest of 3 clubs and its under masters watch, this seems to be what people dont get , city arent asking for anything other than fairness and all clubs to treated the same way and that is somehow seen as a bad thing and the only teams it is bad for is the red tops because for them fairness is them getting what they want and everyone else can fuck off.

It would be more damaging if there was any communication between the PL and the panel as to whether to charge City over particular allegations. Any suggestion that the panel was encouraged to charge City, even if the evidence wasn’t compelling, would undermine the PL

It isn't illegal for another club to lobby the PL, asking what is happening with the investigation, etc. It's a dick move, but not illegal.

It's possible but I doubt that any evidence of collusion and corruption will be found.

Just as there is no evidence of fraud in our own emails.
I think you’ll find that certain clubs have been doing a lot more than just asking the PL about the investigation. Namely, pretty much forcing the PL to bring the charges in the first place.

And would pave the way to a later claim by City against the PL for damages.

Imagine the piss-boil if we end up being cleared of all charges and the PL have to compensate us.

The tip off may have come from the premier league itself. If the board realises the damage Masters has done & need a fall guy they may have just hung him out to dry.
