Altercation at Terminal 2

Be interesting to see if any footage emerges if the original altercation, if they are that willing to jump the police I guess fighting with a member if the public will be nothing to them. So looks going from the story they’ve already done something violent, so that should also be held against them, lock the twats up for a long time.

They were terminal side weren’t they? And apparently there was an altercation on a flight preceding it too.
I have heard that mentioned, hence the need to a police presence in the first place.

The absolute vitriolic attack on the officer by the guy with the shorts set the tone of the situation. The group, and the guy on the deck deserved everything they got.

People may think restraint is called for as a representative of the state and crown, but this was an airport. You simply don't fuck around.

I have heard that mentioned, hence the need to a police presence in the first place.

I saw it on the bbc report it about it -

“The force is appealing for information on or footage of three incidents, namely:

  • An alleged altercation between passengers from Qatar Airways flight QR023, which arrived at 19:20 BST, which occurred either during the flight or in the T2 baggage hall
  • A "violent disturbance" involving members of the public in T2 Starbucks at approximately 20:22
  • The alleged assault of three police officers which occurred in the T2 car park pay point area at 20:28 and resulted in the officers receiving head injuries, including a broken nose”

yep, il hold my hands up i got it wrong, after the head kick video it was an all out attempt at compo seeking at maximum pay out and they most likely would have been on for thousands now i hope they get nothing but a stretch at the plesure of HM prison service
fair dos

Where’s the Chief Inspector in all this. Has he been silenced or what. After the previous hushed up crimes in Rochdale re the rape gangs I thought GMP had been taught a lesson on how to deal with sensitive issues. Not just remain silent.
Usually the Chief Inspector makes a statement.

when will the counter protests begin outside rochdale police station!

There doesn't need to be.

There are unfortunately some, from whichever group they claim to represent, that will always jump on something to further their own cause or attention.

Let's not allow morons in any group or community to inflame any tensions.

Have you seen the joined up footage? I think youll admit you are wrong.
certainly the kick by the cop was a revenge attack although if he is clever enough about it he may save his job by declaring he had concusion and double vision etc and thought it was still kicking off, not much else he can say, the others i hope GMP round them up and let justice take its course without any fear of protests or racial trouble on the streets

No I'm not fucking wrong. Whatever the provocation, which was severe, I expect an officer of the law to behave to a certain standard.
Holding a gun in both hands limits his ability to subdue the attacker. On top of that adrenaline and heat of the moment makes decision even harder. Walk in hi shoes and come back to me Colin

Posted in the other thread but it’s worth reading R v Palmer (71) which roughly says in acting in self defence the person in fear cannot be expected to weigh up the niceties of his actions.

We should not look at this from an objective point of view-it is largely a subjective action, ie what was in the officer’s mind at that time.
