But it could have aggravated the cyst on his testacleA kick in the bollocks would have been much more appropriate in this situation.

But he doesn't know what the crackpot is carrying.
To be fair, you're a lot younger than me.Not how I remember it mate ; )
He’s lucky it happened in this country otherwise their mum would be organising a funeral in certain parts of the worldChange it to suspect then. Same point applies, police aren't allowed to get in last digs, that e.g, a householder might get away with against a burglar.
You're not a tik tok lawyer by any chance? On people who have just been tasered and are incapacitated?
If he can't keep his emotions in check he shouldn't be carrying a lethal weapon or a taser.
Did he even know? He could easily say he was getting up again.
Remember who the offenders are here.
I can’t say I’d have kicked him but I wasn’t there-and his defence will be based on whether subjectively he had an honestly belief at that time -see Rv Palmer
I did but I think I got away with it.
You and Mr K aren’t that far apart.Did he even know? He could easily say he was getting up again.

You beat me to it-we are arguing over what was in the mind of the officer at the time-and that’s not going to be established here. You and Mr K aren’t that far apart.
The difference is the subjectivity of the necessity of the force used. He’s suggesting it isn’t, whereas you are suggesting that it could have been, having seen the whole incident play out.
The inquiry will ultimately define that.
Bloody hell. I'm 60. Then again, you did know my Grandad ; )To be fair, you're a lot younger than me.
That's impossible to predict or assess prior to an incident. It's easy after the event.
The lad overstepped the mark. Most of us would do the same in that situation. I know I probably would, and I wouldn't regret it.
You have an imaginary high standard to hold the police to that is impossible to achieve. Are you a firearms officer though? We rightly hold them to high standards. If they can't meet those standards they are cut from the team. That's the reality even if some think it is harsh.
Having seen the video, that guy having a brain is debatable. He went to hospital and has a cyst on his brain I read.

Especially when some pricks just tried to punch your lights out.You have an imaginary high standard to hold the police to that is impossible to achieve.
One was an officer of the law trying to do his job in extreme circumstances dealing with animals. I think the officers HAVE the higher ground and acted admirably. It perhaps isnt required to decide which side are in the wrong here. Nobody in that video comes out of it well. The Guys involved obv acted like pricks and the Police followed that up in a similar manner. All should be suitably punished for their actions and neither should/can claim to have a moral or socially acceptable high ground.
