That was the jist of his congress speech I thought.

Pushing this union/corporate "partnership" bollocks.

I would love to live in a world where corporate acknowledge trade unions are good for corporate governance. However both sides are ideologically opposite of each other.

How was Starmer’s received? I guess somewhere between peak Elvis and Blair getting slow clapped by the WI?

I don’t disagree with your last paragraph - it’s not universal you’d be pleased to know - firm I work for has decent relationships both with workers and the communities we operate in, with a huge focus on safety - it’s front and centre in everything we do. Won’t go in to much detail on here but over a beer sometime.

Lukewarm reception according to a union colleague who's there. It didn't sound like the whole room was with him
 
Im pretty apolitical. I dont beleive there is a party that represents me. I firmly believe most politicians are self serving, selfish weirdo’s but there are one or two who seem decent.

However, having said all that, the best thing i can say about starmer is that he comes across as a wet fart

Very poor. Wouldn’t answer the question of how many pensioners are going to die as a result of removing the WFA based on their impact assessment. So they have either a) not done one or b) the answer isn’t zero.

Either response is shocking. Anyroad the adults are in charge now….mind you if these are the adults and the country is their baby then someone needs to call social services and have it taken in to care.

Looks like 5 years is going to be a very long time for the poor and infirm in this country.
