Keir Starmer

Fuck it.

I'm going to lead a peaceful revolution and bring stability with a benign dictatorship for 25 years. In that time we will all build a constitution together.

Johnson, Mogg, The rags, and all the other divisive, self serving cunts will be exiled to the virgin islands. After I've reclaimed their stolen taxes held there. *

*Liverpool fans will be sent to re - education camps in Italy

My first act will be to engage the people in a debate on the most divisive issue this country has ever had to face. With a referendum to follow. The people will finally decide if it's a Barm or Muffin!

Harry Cole Sun's Pol Ed trying desperately to do some whataboutery saying Starmer called Delta the "Johnson variant " and didn't apologise for it as some sort of your mum is fatter than my mum tit for tat
The whole Guido mob are out trying distraction and whataboutery. I expect the Spiked mob to follow.

Despicable cunts the lot of them.

Some of us should have listened a bit more to our blue brothers when we had the chance.

Shamefully I voted for this ****. First time ever I voted Tory because I just couldn’t vote for Corbyn and of course because of brexit.

I’ve admitted my mistake in voting for the fuck up that was brexit.

Im also willing to own the fact I voted for this fucking whopper.

Shame on me.
Took your time but good to see.

While I wholeheartedly agree that Johnson is indeed a whopper and a ****, I've refrained from liking this post because I don't believe anyone should ever feel ashamed for voting for someone who then goes on to prove to be a total let down. I remember @Rascal saying something similar a while back about voting for Blair in 2001, and then wishing he hadn't because we invaded Iraq a couple of years later. I said the same to Russ - he had no way of knowing what was going to happen further down the line when he cast his vote for Blair so there's absolutely no point in beating one self up about it.

Politics will always be like this. At some point in our lives, many of us will have the experience of voting for something or someone then wish we hadn't. For the record, I voted for Brexit (wish I hadn't) but I didn't vote for Johnson because there were clear red lines in the run up to the election. The main one being when he unlawfully prorogued parliament. That set huge alarm bells ringing, although I wasn't too enamoured with him before that and was unlikely to vote for him anyway. Unfortunately, none of the other candidates did it for me either. Like you, I've also got red lines about Corbyn, and the Lib Dems (my go to option in 2015 and 2017 because the 2 main parties were pissing me off) were off the table as Swinson's threat to simply cancel Brexit without even putting it to a second referendum (something I was open to as I'd long since lost faith in Brexit) just didn't sit right with me. I still turned up at the polling station though and scrawled "NONE" across my ballot paper in big fuck off letters!

It's like watching a movie that you know the end to.

This is the problem with Politics in the US and the UK, it is not enough to disagree with the opposition but you have to denigrate them. The ability to identify bad behaviour and row behind your man no matter what, is the major currency now. When people like Trump and Johnson get caught "saying grab women by the pussy" or illegally tarting up a flat and having parties, their response is to lie an smear the opposition with the crudest of falsehoods. Pizzagate in the US, Saville's co-conspirator here.

This is heading one way and one way only, these lies are divisive, they make people cruel and are toxic to society as a whole. Senior Conservatives need to knock this shit on the head. After the harm that Brexit has caused to the harmony of this country we can't afford Johnson attempts to dehumanise Starmer as a funny lie or clever riposte. If the Tory party follow Johnson down evermore paths of confrontation just so he can cling a little longer to power, we will be ruined.

This is not a Conservative PM, this is not a normal politician. Each day he lowers the tone and the bar a little more and more spineless fools like JRM and nadine dorries follow through.

The possibility is not that this beginning of the end but rather the end of the beginning, that Johnson and Co will herald a new age of politics where standards continues to plummet for generations.
All very true. However, politicians on the whole are morally fucked.

The interview process involves simple questions:

Can you lie while keeping a straight face?
Can you leave your morals at the door?
Can you talk shit repeatedly using obnoxious words?
Can you speak in riddles?
Can you not answer the question asked?
Can you hide expenses?

The list is endless. Absolute tosh to a man/woman or anything else in between.

What is it about Starmer that makes people believe he wouldn't make a good Prime minister ? Is it because he doesn't sit there bullshitting and pulling the wool over people's eyes ? Is it because he's not animated enough or screaming ONWARD at every available opportunity ?
Not enough catchy slogans ?

Starmer is a highly intelligent man. A serious man who I do believe has integrity. What would be the point in him making ridiculous promises to voters ? All Boris and his lot have done is lied, cheated and shown enormous levels of incompetence. Is that really preferable to giving Labour a chance to sort out the mess ?

I think the X factor has fucked up how this country sees voting.

You don’t vote for the best person, you vote for the most entertaining.

Therefore both chart music and politics are full of the wrong sort of people.
