It isn't. Even the top players do struggle initally to really settle after a big move. With Sergio it was a little hit and miss during his earlier years and he did join earlier on in the season.

So you exhaust every point and argument that its easier for a player to sign for a club in summer as opposed to January and then you go and completely contradict your whole argument by saying something like this about Aguero which is simply not true.

Don't know the story you are alluding to but in the main, when Tolmie posts something it is more often than not correct. However, as with all transfers, there are many players invoved, hurdles and complexities which sometimes throws a spanner in the works and the transfer collapses. That doesn't make Tolmie wrong.

Think they also need money to strengthen their defence and are still strapped from their European ban. Sat 6th in Serie A and 19th in the Champions League, so they, too, need to refresh in January. Not sure how easy it will be to offload Luiz given his partner also joined, I believe.
