The Conservative Party

They are so bad at Politics - they will not be the Opposition after the next GE.

Everybody thinks this, but nobody wants to be the party to get rid of it. And when one party finally does, the party not in power will bring it up for decades, despite never reversing it themselves. Kinda like cutting the winter fuel allowance.

The TV critics verdicts are in and in news that should shock no-one

I saw one person talking about this and basically saying that the main problem with the show is that there are no stakes. An exceptionally privileged and wealthy man losing his job has no real consequences, so it doesn't work as a narrative. Apparently at one point, one of his kids says something like "I've never heard of anyone losing their job."

Badenoch is a gift to Labour - a perfect gift to Starmer. She gets 6 questions per week direct to his face at PMQ's and this week she burned them all up grilling him on migrants - THE WORST FAILURE FROM THEIR 14 YEARS IN POWER.

Who advises her? A 7 year old child?

Was listening on the radio and just thought, ‘You stupid twat, who’s going to hold the government to account?’.

she is batshit crazy - promoted beyond her talents any Conservative who thinks this was the correct move must regret it now - though given that Jenrick was the alternate choice it just illustrates how far off being relevant agin they are

100% a temperament and personality issue and not anything to do with her being Nigerian. She's lived her entire adult life in this country so she would have had the opportunity to learn how to rub along with people in the UK and she also has a British husband so would be well aware of cultural differences.

Think there's something about the Tories that self selects abrasive arseholes for ministerial roles. Jenrick, Braverman etc.

sums up the Tories and their r/w press mates in a nutshell - Xmas party held in someones front room and a tiny tree costing £15 from Argos lit by a shadow cabinet member wearing a jacket probably bequeathed by Jimmy Savile

Because they can fit in with their electorate easily and comfortably perhaps ?

Badenough on the Today programme this morning for a rare extended interview. Needless to say it didn't go well. The irony when asked how it was going and the reply was basically "give me a chance, I've only just got in".
