He is OK. He posts here because he has a background in HMRC and football administration (iirc?) and so has an interest and some relevant views on it all. Don't agree with him at all on this one, though.

Small squad, poor recruitment, injuries and not fully fit players in many positions key to Guardiola's system are the only factors, imho. Possibly sprinkled with a stubbornness not to change system to suit the players Guardiola wants to play from those available and a reluctance to play youth players.

From the outside looking in I find it odd that so many are trying to suggest that there is a single reason for your current poor run of form.

Sorry but to dismiss the off field issues as being contributory is I think burying your head in the sand.

No matter how well paid the players , the manager, support team and the hierarchy will have had discussions and speculated.

The hierarchy will probably be aware, despite their stance, that incoming top players will want assurances should the worse happen be it guaranteed release clauses, no relegation clauses etc.

Then you have the supporters . The fact that the IC has heard the evidence and at this point everything thing is up in the air of course is going to impact.

The charges were the best thing that could have happened to most of the current players. We wouldn’t have won the treble without the charges and that’s a fact. Can’t help but feel you’re trying to rub our noses in it.

My understanding re Utd was that the figure shown in the accounts in terms of Covid losses wasn’t the sum that appeared in their PSR submissions. There often is a disparity between accounts and PSR.

PSR restrictions for instance in the areas of transfer fee amortisation isn’t in accord with standard accounting practice.

Having said all that how do you know that Utd haven’t been challenged re their PSR submission?

As for the sum Chelsea FC “ sold” the two hotels to BlueCo land values in the Kings Road area significant and it ain’t cheap to stay there . Chelsea Harbour Hotel which ain’t a million miles away sold for £63 million in 2013

It’s a hotel that as far as I understand does not make much money and now won’t make any money because another Chelsea company will run it and charge for it. It’s also a hotel that might not exist in a few years time if Chelsea redevelop or move
