The appeal route from UEFA is to CAS and CAS only. There are narrow grounds to appeal to the Swiss courts following a CAS outcome but they are very specific. This is maybe what you're thinking of. I don't think there's been many appeals though and I also believe there's never been a successful one against a case heard by CAS .

The adult thing to do, in the face of all the things we do know from people who do know more than you, would be to agree this information is shit and quietly disappear from the thread. Or even maybe take the opportunity to learn a few things, so you're better prepared to counter stuff like this if you hear it again.

A very similar story was posted on here a couple of weeks ago and was shown to be extremely dubious at best, and why it was extremely dubious. For one thing the panel has only just finished hearing the evidence and there's unlikely to be an outcome much before Easter. For another, only then will they discuss any sanction. That's why people are angry with you, together with your arrogant attitude when shown to be wrong.

And people who know more than you and who do understand what little we know about the charges have said that's the likelihood of the PL proving their case to the degree required is seemingly very low. Basically that these charges are nonsense and are unlikely to be proven to a level that would lead to a 40-point deduction or £40m fine.

I don't consider it a contentious position to accept that any speculation on punishment for the club is premature. The case is not complete. The evidence presented has only just been finalised in the lawyer summations. The panel will now deliberate before deciding on culpability/innocence, and only then will sanctions be decided upon. As of now, nobody knows what the sanctions are, including the lawyers representing the PL and club.

Counting the CAS ruling we’ve had almost 5 years of this witch-hunt hanging over us. Has any other supporters ever been subjected to this? It’s beyond a joke.

The media red darlings would never have been charged but if they had imagine the fuss that would be made for their supporters welfare in the media and probably in parliament.

So it’s drags on and on. If any saddo on here (not referring to anyone in particular) or elsewhere wants to post false rumours well the club never says anything so taunting City fans is a free hit. People make money or make themselves look big on the possible ruin of our club. Can’t those that run the club see the effect this has?

I have no problem with us being crap on the pitch (though I don’t like it). I didn’t become a City fan expecting to see us win trophies. But this other matter is leaving a bitter taste.

If you were saying City had been cleared of all charges it would be the same. If you turn out to be correct it will be coincidence because you can’t look into the future.

You could say you have heard City will win the FA Cup and you might be correct but does that mean you knew in advance?

Your last paragraph is spot on. Once City are cleared I expect the pl to announce a 4 year investigation into every pl club.

Well that's all very well Damo but my mate who runs the Football Is Fixed website tells me he knows what the result will be. And I believe him, because in the summer of 2019, a handful of games into the season, he told me who would win the PL. Amd he was spot on.

How can it be ‘legit’?
The ONLY way it could be legit is if City had actually capitulated and accepted guilt and agreed a sanction that would go with it. So, let’s assume that has happened, why would it be a secret?
The other possibility is, of course, that there’s some ‘talking bollocks’ going on…..

I was out last night at a "do".
One of the lads who's very well connected to a bloke he sometimes sees in the pub said that the rumour of 40 points is bollocks.
Closer to 30, his contact told him.
