If he wants to stay then it's a non starter. We could offer 100m and AC Milan might bite our hand off but if the player doesn't want to leave then none of that matters.

Sadly true, but the uncertainty around the team/manager/115 will be a big obstacle.

I don’t agree. Firstly, if we do make new signings then the team will improve, any player would want to be part of that. Secondly, Pep has just signed for another two years, and he’s certainly not a quitter. Finally, the board has reiterated many times that there is irrefutable evidence we have done nothing wrong, so we should therefore be carrying on as normal.

From a new signing’s perspective, if they are genuinely worried and don’t believe the club, then just have a relegation release clause added. It’ll not be needed, but if it makes them stop worrying and sign them no problem.

Makes sense, but the way I see it, traction is really easy to gain even if you don't have any substance behind it - just so long as you know where to look. A forum of people desperate for City transfer news? Sadly many people call that an easy target.

The court case result isnt until February. So I think its really naive to think a player with multiple options would sign for City in January when a month later everything could change.

I also think thats why your last window was so 'internal'. Bringing back Gundogan and signing Savio from the network of clubs.

bloody hope january transfer will not be on the level of Phillips, Kovacic, Doku, Nunes. we need much higher quality incomings than them.

we need someone we can rely on.

Those 2 shouldn't be in a list with Phillips and Nunes.
Kova is a proven International who was brought in to provide cover. Doku has plenty of talent but needs time and patience - something that wouldn't be an issue if others form hadn't fallen off a cliff.
Nunes is a really frustrating one, clearly a player in there but he's like a deer in the headlights whenever he plays

January window stinks. We will not be able to get the players we want before summer. It is what it is. We also can’t afford to panic and stack the squad with 2/3 average signings that we regret buying in the next years
