Genuine question, that I can't for the life of me figure out, why the hell does it bother you so much. I can't think of a single reason for a thread I would frequent so much just to repeatedly get infuriated by. I just don't get it.

Putting aside how wild some things posted are, if your starting point is that it is completely impossible and will never happen, just what is it you think you might occasionally find here?

Number one the space junk we left up there the Mars rover. Number two we left a simple instrument installed 50 years ago by Apollo 11. during their day on the Moon, Armstrong and Aldrin planted a lunar laser ranging retroreflector array on the surface.
It’s still operational today, and allows us to reflect lasers off of it and measure the distance to the Moon down to the centimetre. We simply couldn’t do this if we hadn’t visited the Moon

You could tell me why we didn’t go Mark?

I am staggered at the moronic idiocy of people in this thread
I will always challenge their cretinous claims just in case there is anyone reading it who thinks their brain dead, conspiracy, fact denying garbage has any credibility.
What sort of dickhead thinks this thread should be the preserve of ignorant morons?

And yes I have likely commented similar condemnation on other threads, not to sound hypocritical. But I don't think I have as persistently followed a thread I generally dismissed.

If you had evidence of a new civilization to the standard that you could argue it in a journal, you'd be instantly world famous in your chosen field and would spend the next several decades funded out of your arse.

In my experience, Moon landing deniers usually turn out to be Flat Earth skeptics who eventually warp into fundamentalist Christian creationists. It's a well trodden path.

You say you're open to debate but the topic you want to debate is undebatable. So my position is that we landed on the Moon. In this debate I have thousands of data points collected from research and space institutes all over the planet including physical data.
In the other position, you have to prove that something didn't happen. How is this possible? How do you prove something didn't happen?
So maybe you say NASA faked a photo? OK, let's say that for some reason you believe this, that still doesn't prove they didn't go to the Moon, it proves they faked a photo.

You don't need to debate to show that something didn't happen. You need to explain what did happen which explains every data point that we have from Moon rocks to laser pointing and satellite tracking. You need to explain all of that and what did happen that doesn't include landing on the Moon and how the evidence fits this. Because if this is one of those Kubrick on a soundstage bullshit things, you may as well say we didn't go to the Moon because the Moon isn't real
 
My take on it, is that its incredibly arrogant of us to think that in the infinite cosmos we are it and that is all and from the aliens side maybe theyve taken a look at earth and thought its like liverpool, completely overrun with weirdos and best left to its own devices.
 
I used to work with a lad at work who I considered sensible and intelligent he said they didn’t land on the moon I was astounded, he said it was faked pictures etc. When I pointed out if you get a telescope you can see the stuff on the moon and how could thousands of people keep such a secret it would be impossible, he would just shrug his shoulders! I never pushed him on it because I didn’t want to fall out but I never looked at him the same either.

A fun way of frying conspiracy loon’s brains is to one up them. They can’t compute what’s going on.

If someone says the moon landings are fake say “oh you’re not one of those moon believers are you?! You know the moon isn’t real right, it’s a fake light constructed by the CIA that sends out mind control beams”

This is with all these conspiracy theories , alot of it just confirmation bias, people want to believe them so they look at any shred of evidence to support their beliefs and any kind of rationale goes out the window.

Including the tea lady who works in the little cafe at the visitors centre. She’s part of the conspiracy too.
