PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Apologies if this has already been asked. And I’m not wanting to get into the politics around the article.

But with Lord Pannick soon to be taking on the government over private schools VAT.
Would this indicate that city dont believe they will need him for any subsequent appeal of the outcome?

Also the timing of this story coming out coincides with a change in tone from certain outlets and city’s hard soft signals.

He’ll lose that one pretty quickly….

I accept that ,obviously, but at least he’s acknowledged how catastrophic this will be for the PL if we are cleared. Baby steps and all that!
I am constantly & equally amused and amazed that no matter how gushing an article on City that is published, that someone will focus on one line, phrase or even a single word and then find the whole thing negative.

This has been on the books and well known about for a good while now. The two have no influence on each other.

I see, what's your thinking then? They've been forced to remove?
Maybe not forced, but possibly think it’s a wise idea to, as I’m sure as they would be seen as “publishers” of the comments (which would be full of scurrilous posts) they would want to run the risk of any comeback.

Whatever it is, the timing is intriguing

If we get a fine will Khaldoon fight it? I thought he wanted us cleared totally, seems a fine would go against that, he wants us completely exonerated.
I guess we'd take some sort of no cooperation one as assuming we've not said fill your boots here's the keys etc a fine for not giving everything they've asked for is subjective.
