I suspect he’s picked up a niggling injury and Pep won’t risk him with the run of games we’ve got.
It’ll be as simple as that.

I do think he has incredible natural ability, probably among the best I have ever seen in terms of physical and ball ability and I have seen a lot. So it would be a waste if he doesn't develop his mind to maximize his potential. And developing one's mind is part a matter of knowing how good you can be and studying the game as much as possible. I think he doesnt do either
 
So far, hasn't played back-to-back league games since August (3), and before that I think it was February; for me, the league is where they get their stamina and rhythm. Must be hugely frustrating for him.

Agreed. Great player when fit but only have to see his career to see he won’t ever be reliable sadly
 
Sounds like he is out for about a month... what a shame.

Any thoughts from the club to loan out McAtee now that we are down an attacker would be foolish...
