Since when has Europe put itself first? The economic state of the continent is awful and despite that it actually holds all of the cards to do great things but for whatever reason it is incapable of doing it.America First is not just a slogan. Its the goal. Europe is well advised to put Europe first too.
I have no problem with Europeans who find an 'America first' President annoying, they should. But Americans who do are kinda weird. They want to be European do bad...
There is a lot to be said for the horrendous governance on the continent and that includes the UK. Europe is quite simply sinking because of stagnation, inaction and a major lack of energy.
And there are some on here who think that every problem in the UK would be instantly resolved if we simply put on our lifejacket and jumped in the lifeboat to sink alongside them.
The perils of Trump are huge but that's because he actually represents action and he was elected on that basis. He won an election by promising to do something whereas his opposite number spent the last year in office asleep. If Europe only had this kind of energy albeit placed in the right direction then maybe we'd get somewhere.
