PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

The MEN can fuck right off.
It would be nice for the local paper to maybe support us and help us with the narrative around these charges.
Those headlines are right cut and paste jobs, the Rotherham Advertiser website is probably running the story of "Wath upon Dearne's Dog and Duck FC receive fresh 115 charges verdict amid imminent Premier League decision".

Fucking lazy journalistic click bait for the ill informed masses who have already found us guilty.

For what it's worth (probably very little) we had David Dein do a talk at my work today. During the q&a I asked what his feelings on the charges and likely outcomes were..he said he doesn't think we've committed any major wrongdoings and was very complimentary about how our club is run.

That’s not the first time he has said that either.

There's been multiple examples recently of dying local papers all across the country going with exactly the same headlines - almost like they just use a central agency or something instead of employing actual journalists.

you do know they're ALL owned by the despicable Reach organisation don't you

As if all the articles had been written by the same City hating group of newspapers. Well knock me down with a feather.

They are one of the worst City news sources out there.
The only sources I trust are Bluemoon and the club.

Every commercial outlet from SSN to MEN has the objective of making money for its shareholders. Add to that the role of most sports print journalists, which is the more clicks they gain the more they are paid, and you end up with this unhealthy state of affairs where every single commercial media outlet without exception has a vested interest in bigging up the redshirts and trash talking City. It is simply no surprise that the foreign media reports on City are frequently far less antagonistic.

The BBC ought of course to be exempt from this, but for their own reasons, which are not actually that much different from the rest of the media, they have decided that their statutory obligation of impartiality stops at the door of the sports department

TLDR - they’re a bunch of cunts

The BBC puts adverts on its website outside of the UK

Reach is not a 'local' paper.

It's a national publication utilising freelancers and syndicators to write generic pieces for manipulation to suit 'local' circulation.

It's the bastard son of a homeless, flea ridden mongrel with distemper !!

Nearly everyday my missus will show me the headline that has popped up on her phone, anti City obviously.
She believes the headline lol
I just go 'yea' and ignore it and say look who it's from 'football 365 or Wyness etc' I tell her to just ignore the bollocks.

But it does show how easy it is to convince people that City are guilty. Yesterday the headline was City being docked 40 points and relegated.

Back in the day, around the turn of the millennium, I spent over two years working for a law firm that acted for Arsenal. I was probably working for an average of a couple of days a week on their matters. Obviously, that entailed contact with David Dein on occasions.

He's without doubt a consummately skilled operator and if he speaks about a football topic, his words will definitely be worth listening to. And, guess what, he's had his say on the '115'. Surely, then, his comments will be given public prominence? Actually, no. Outlets providing commentary, be they from the venal mainstream or among the growing coterie of vacuous bloggers, ignore him and instead trumpet the facile musings of chancers who follow the tired old party line.

Step forward, among others, serial failure Keith fucking Wyness as well as those two overpromoted cockwomble simpletons from Sheffield Hallam, Wilson and Plumley. "Organised and clear", as an eminent and astute gentleman once sagely observed.

"Clear & Organised" was also quoted, but don't quote me.
