PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

It was Dein who pulled the rug out from under Piers Moron's feet when he hosted that 'cor blimey' YouTube hatchet job on us a couple of years ago. In amongst the usual selection of dribbling doughnuts, Moron had invited Dein along to lend an illusion of gravitas to proceedings, only for Dein to go off-piste by informing all present that our Etisalaat deal - the one when SM temporarily took over payment of the company's sponsorship contributions himself - was 'not the smoking gun' that Moron et al thought it was.
Roll the credits.......

Wouldn’t it be great if Sheik Mansour was to throw a few million towards the phone hackers victims legal as fund as they try to pressure this to be properly investigated. Funny that it doesn’t make headlines in the daily’s…..

Don’t worry blues. Forget all the legal/political wrangling over the alleged charges.

I had a dream last night…

BBC quote: “ city got away with it”.

The joyous scenes were biblical.

Bookmark it, it’s done.

Was I seen cartwheeling doon Deansgate stark bollock naked in front of a PopeMobile carrying Khaldoon & Lord David ??

There is a conflict for them being a publicly funded organisation, clicks really should not come into it, they should be neutral commentators, I object to my licence fee being used to fund what is rapidly becoming a Fanzine for Liverpool and United, we are not the only fanbase that is pissed off about it

We do along with other fans have some power over this, remember Alan Green he was so biased toward Liverpool a club he openly supported that listening to him commentating on any Liverpool game was like listening to that Spoof one they used to do, United fans and lots of others got really pissed off with it and contacted the Beeb in their thousands (I was one) Green was gradually pulled away for live comenterry and now is very rarely heard or seen

It takes 2 minutes.

Inform them that you're leaving the country.

They even refund any unexpired portion of the current licence !!

It's not even a paper, it's practically a news aggregator which will use algorithms to promote certain headlines to the top of it's "content".

This is from their own website which I personally find friggin' hilarious:-

Our purpose

To enlighten, empower and entertain through brilliant journalism
Every day, our brands deliver the latest news, entertainment and sport to communities throughout the UK and Ireland and around the world.

Each of our trusted titles is a platform to represent and campaign for the voices of the communities we serve and to hold power to account.

We’re proudly mainstream and believe in giving our audiences something to smile about as part of a well-curated mix of light and shade.

There is a list of their current "publications" on Wiki, which is quite scary:-

"Papers on the same line usually have generalised content and/or have the same team of reporters and editor."

This allows them to run the same story with small changes depending on the region the content is aimed at.

For instance, the Liverpool Echo can run a story with the headline "Why Man City's 115 charges is good news for Liverpool F.C." but can also run the story in the Blairgowrie Advertiser with the headline "Why Man City's 115 charges is good news for Blairgowrie F.C." with simple automated changes.

That's the level modern "journalism" is now at. Your phone/tablet/computer will then use algorithms to continuously throw these headlines at you, especially if you make the mistake of clicking on one of them.
Nearly All the old local offices of Reach publications have been shut and sold off, stories are produced centrally with the local content semi automatic tended by a tiny staff.
The Express office in Ancoats was a beautiful art deco building and a hive of journalistic labour; Reach sold it off…what is it now?

He’s on the radio now, I think.

Repurposed as high end office spaces with communal hubs at ground floor. Very nice. Glad we managed to keep it. it was listed.

The dichotomy for the BBC is that, essentially, it’s government funded. Because governments have got an obsession with productivity and the press barons want the BBC to die, essentially they have to chase clicks. If their programmes are not watched, their radio stations not listened to and their website(s) not clicked on, they’re ripe for being closed down.
So, if their ‘rivals’ get clicks by shouting 115 then, sadly, it follows that the BBC will do likewise.
Not only that, but government lackeys being shoved onto the BBC board is also bad news for independence as well.

Apartments which are very poorly serviced/managed. So bad in fact that the residents are in continuous litigation against the management company.
