IPTV

Just a point on recordings.
I use a firestick which does not have a spare USB port.
However if I want to record a program via output from Teviate surely I can use a USB input on my TV?
Just connect a USB stick and leave tv on that channel, perhaps it only works to play from a stick but my Samsung TV has instructions how to record so I assume not.
Not tried it but is it that simple?
 
Anyone know if there's ever been an issue watching iptv without a vpn, mines about to run out and considering not bothering?

I took on a lot of opinions when I got a new IPTV system the other month.

Loads of people saying they’ve never had any trouble without a VPN. But plenty more claiming that their ISP started throttling their connection, to the point where they couldn’t get a strong enough signal to watch anything worthwhile.

I took the view that there was nothing to lose getting one as the cost is next to nothing. And it could head off problems.
 
There are allegedly suppliers on this site who provide IPTV with built in VPN which can be toggled on or off. Obviously I refuse to believe there are blues engaged in such nefarious activity as I'm sure Ric and the mods do

It depends how you use IPTV. We are in Thailand and we are able to watch ITV, BBC etc on their apps but only with a VPN. The likes of Sky etc are fine as they are "on the stick". I do use a VPN at home when I remember to connect it but have not had any issues with EE/BT as my broadband supplier when I forget.

It's mainly if you have Virgin or Sky broadband you need a VPN. Nothing works at all on my stick with it turned off.
