PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Why set up a account for image rights that visible to Uefa & probably the EPL & hide the loss underwritten payments. I'm not an accountant by any means but it seems pretty stupid to me & easily detectable, when according to the Premier League we are hiding much higher payments of funding through Etihad via Sheikh Mansour

We are getting into theoreticals a bit here but I doubt that sort of thing would be identified unless attention was drawn to it somehow, through a leak of internal documents for example.

The fact that it would be a stupid thing to do doesn't satisfy me, tbh. The PL's whole case is based on things it would be stupid to do, yet here we are. My only point was that I would be more comfortable on those two issues if there was more information in the public domain. But there isn't, so I have to be a little uncomfortable a while longer. As I say, though, imho they aren't major issues so I'm not losing any sleep over them.

Wasn't your point of hidden payments theoretical & the panel will decide on basis of probability. Like I said, I'm not an accountant, but if the books add up after Uefa told us to cease with Fordham then I can't see the EPL having a case.

If there was any evidence of hidden payments do you not think the EPL would have charged us a lot sooner

tbf it is somewhat the same when you think about it, he is making the assumption that we must have done something if the pl says we have and its either an extreme point of view to say that we havent done anything or that we are dodgy as fuck when it isnt, if we take what he says at face value then you have to say that EVERY club has done something that the pl should be going after them for, otherwise its just assuming that city are guilty because the pl say we are.
So going off that question it's either the club are bent as 9 bob note or City fans are all paranoid blinkered crackpots

Interesting question. Not seen it asked in public before. Hmmmm

I wonder if Mullock has been given a nod from the club as like you say its the first time that anyone has remotely mentioned the possibility of City being cleared. I can imagine the cartel clubs fans are all over this

I’m not clear what he is trying to say. The charges are of serious fraud. Not sure what the middle ground view to that is. Perhaps someone can help me.
You are right. With such a huge volume of such serious allegations there is no middle ground. It's a bit like a murder trial where the verdict is very black and white. Imagine a result which says we didn't commit accounting fraud on multiple occasions for ten years but we should not have paid Mancini an extra £2.75m. Not really much middle ground here.

I wonder if it’s like a boxer at the end of a fight, celebrating the win regardless of how the fight went to try and influence the judges and or media.

Let’s just hope we hear soon so we can just concentrate on the football, this character assassination has gone on for far too long.
Yes, it has.

However, it's also served us very well.

This level of abuse and vitriol towards the club has helped us develop a seige mentality that the pisscan would have happily given both testicles for.

You mean this? Not exactly the same is it?

My response to that would be none of the above.

I do however, believe that MCFC are one of the best run football clubs on the planet.

Look at the money we've spent/invested and compare and contrast that with..... oh! I don't know; the rags?

My guess is that it's the gulf that exists between the two clubs that is the driving force behind this whole saga.
