The Uzbek kid and Mamoush Do look really good and reiss will be aswell but pep is killing us with him picking his favourites ween in week out who are stinking the place out and unless they are gone next season he will still keep picking them and that is the big problem .
We can't get rid of them all mid-season. We just don't have the squad to never pick any of KDB, Bernardo, Gundo and Kova.

Is 19 a bigger number than 8?
10 of those 19 points came from games against rank bad sides Leicester, Ipswich, West ham and Everton (who we couldn't even put away at home).

If you're suggesting wins against those sorts of sides are clear proof of improvement you're delusional.

How is finishing top 4 not in our hands, we win our games we finish top 4. What is there to not understand there?

As for being content, what choice do you have, are you going to get yourself on the touchline and put Pep on the bench so you can manage the games from now on?
Because it's not true is it? If chelsea, forest, dippers and arsenal also win up all games it doesn't matter if we do or not? Not that difficult to work out.

*And if you're actually suggesting we win every game to the end of the season I admire your optimism but we will be dropping a fair few more points yet if yesterday is anything to go by.

Wrong. The wins were against:
Newcastle
Spurs
Chelsea
West Ham
Leicester
Ipswich

Look at the teams we failed to beat in the previous ten.

I stand my original point - you're a bit thick

Yes... thats 18 points, the extra point to make up the 19 you're harping on about was the draw at home to Everton so please tell me where I was wrong?

I stated that 10 of those 19 points were against rank bad sides which is correct.

I can see you have a difficult time reading and comprehending other people's points and I stand by mine - you calling me thick is the literal definition of the pot calling the kettle black.

People keep saying about Peps loyalty as a negative but that's what won the four premier league's on the trot.
What would we have said if at the end of last season he cleared out the players who have given their best for this club in one swoop. It's loyalty alright and fully deserved by most of them.
What we are seeing now is the end of the greatest team in our time and I suspect that most of these greats will know that their time is at an end, like many before them come the end of the season they will respectfully move to a place of choice to see our their career.
I can accept this changing of the guard and Pep will do it with the dignity it deserves.
Pep will regain his enthusiasm once he gently moves towards a younger more energetic team.

The draw was Brentford away, not Everton at home, which fell into the previous 10 games where we were absolutely shite.

You're arguing that black is white to try to support this bizarre notion that i) we aren't/ haven't improved and ii) Pep is clueless and hasn't fixed anything, despite results improving materially.

I want you to tell me how we're terribly coached
An old united mate of mine was telling me about some City fans he overheard on the tram the other day, complaining about Pep. He interrupted their conversation to say, " you should be kissing his feet, not having a go at him for what he has achieved at City." I agree with him.

It's not so much loyalty to his old guard, rather loyalty to his system that is proving his undoing.

You can see that with Haaland; since his first season he hasn't been firing on all cylinders, and that's because he hasn't been integrated fully into the system. He'd have twice as many goals if we played a quicker, more direct game.

Spoilt rotten, mate.

18 trophies the mad bastard has won, 18!

If he wants to keep doing things his way then I'm all for it and if it all fails, it fucking fails. The man is the biggest legend this club has and will ever produce. No other manager will ever come close to him.

The disrespect shown to him over the last 6 months has been nothing short of disgusting

Agreed.

why he is going at great length setting a context for explaining that failing a CL pace is not that bad, and quite ok given how others failed in the past and how big achievement is it to reach top4. I think it is if you are Bournemouth or Fulham but not for Bayern, City, Real...
cant see this happening at Real Madrid that Ancelotti would be at risk of CL places in La Liga and saying its ok once in a while to be out of it given how long streak Real had always be in CL.

why is he keep saying how great rivals we have for CL places. its the Villa, Newcastle, Brighton, Bournemouth, Forest and an underperforming Chelsea are the teams that will get CL places if we dont. why we act that these squads are so great that we have to put up our hands. hardly any of these were within 20-30 points to us in recent years.

lot of things wrong with the mentality of the side this season, collectively and individual level too, but Pep keeps setting the expectations that failure is OK, like we have 1% chance vs Real Madrid, not reaching CL places is not a huge thing, could he be more negative if he tried?

Pep sadly looks just as tired mentally and tactically right now as the legs of KDB and Gundogan on the pitch.

One thing I don’t get, we started going long to Haaland with Marmoush as second striker and we started looking very dangerous. Battered Newcastle in that game.

All of a sudden we’ve gone back to being less direct and not playing the balls over the top, instead focussing again on possession and control. I think Peps obsession with control this season is what’s hurting us, we don’t have the personnel to do those tactics. It’s showing in our matches

I agree.

It’s been an absolute privilege watching some of his teams perform to such a high level. However, for myself personally it was how he stood up for the club during the charges onslaught.

We all love pep but you can see this year has been a real struggle. The team is playing to a very low level. The fans expected him to use his genius/madness to fix the issues and he has not. The players churn out the same bland performances each week now and only speak about how they must do better. It ain’t a good sign.

The journey has been unbelievable but happy endings very rarely happen. The sustained success was never going to carry on indefinitely. Pep has never stayed at a club this long so uncharted waters for him.

So what do we do? The obvious answer is to back pep and clear out the players or alternatively change the coach. I would prefer the former and let him decide if he can do it again. The pressure to play the legends is obvious. A clear out will take that weight away hopefully. I think pep has earned the right to decide his departure date. Only he will know if it’s possible to rebuild again or if his time has come.

One thing this season has shown is the worry after he leaves and the inevitable decline in performances might not be as bad as first feared. What we have seen this season is that it can happen with pep in charge. So that fear has been eased in my mind.

Long reply -:)

Peps outstanding legacy is intact.

However this season is awful.

Spot on.

I am sure Pep is working on a new style of playing, it will take time as we have to now bring in the younger players who will have the ability to do it

I accepted very early in the season that the squad that brought that trophy haul were at their end, and that this season would be painful to watch.

This season pep has got his subs wrong in most games and I’m sorry but bringing on kova and Lewis probably the two players who give the ball away numerous times isn’t gonna shut out the game and forest away is a cane in which we should be going all out to win . This pass pass pass football is costing us as we haven’t got the players anymore to see it through so when he does change it it works and we have players like Haaland looking like he’s actually enjoying himself out there . Everytine and every game we set up to pass to death we will struggle .
