PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

i can't imagine what some of our fans nowadays would be like if they had to traipse down to brighton in a ford fiesta (before the m25 was built) only to lose again, just like last year, by 4 goals.

being a city supporter has nothing to do with winning things.
Your last sentence is so true.

That one line sums it all up about being a city fan.

The last 14 years would suggest otherwise. In fact I’ll take it further than that. What about how exited we all used to get when we reached a quarter final? I’m thinking especially of 1988, 1993, 2006 and 2007. The crushing disappointment we all felt afterwards suggests that winning things wasn’t nothing.

I think it would be far more accurate to say that being a City fan hasn’t ever only been about winning things.

Are you sure about that?

Although, in truth, most of the stuff posted on here is too far fetched, emotional and over the top to ever make it to Dear Deidre.
Dear Deidre

My husband calls ‘dinner’ ‘tea’ and ‘lunch’ ‘dinner’ and it’s making me disinterested in sex.

What do you suggest?

Why were we getting exited? If we reached a quarter final we were still there?

Sorry, couldn’t resist it! I’m being mischievous again. I knew you meant excited. Mea Culpa. :-)

Yeah the disappointment was there but I was happy with the fact we'd got to the quarter finals plus it wasn't like we'd go on and win it was it!

It was all about the whole day for me, especially back in the 80s. The bus into town, the walk to the ground, having a trip out with your pals off the estate and buzzing off eachother. I'd probably say the football came a close 2nd sometimes as we felt something special because we was city fans and we was different to everyone else.

Of course it's great winning everything but even now I still get the excitement just purely because of the fact I'm going to city, if that makes sense!?

Perhaps you can broach the issue with your husband over supper?

Its inherent informality may make it easier to discuss the problem and outline your feelings on the matter.

Yours, Deidre.
