Poor planning imo. He was available last summer for peanuts, we were adamant that we weren’t in for him and now we’re probably gonna offer €60m+ for him now
 
Hasn't played more than 1600 minutes in a season since 2020.

Barca are dreaming right now of us bunging £60m on him.

Olmo is very injury prone both at Leipzig and Barca he showed this. In PL it will just get worse probably 25 leagues maximum from him per season. Barca also will put a serious price on him. that if he even wants to leave this current Barca project which looks exciting and he may not move unless forced out like Gundo...

Viana in for a headache this summer but needs to deliver for the rebuild.

doesnt help dipeprs already boxing off Frimpong, make moves for Kerkez, Arsenal pretty much sorted on Zubimendi, rags move in for Cunha.

Absolutely no chance he leaves his hometown and his boyhood club that he supports and who are currently playing much better than we are to join us.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves. He’s staying at Barca and all we are doing is embarrassing ourselves for when he inevitably turns us down and we are left scrambling for a KDB replacement in late August.

dont think he's gone more than a 3 game run this season without a goal or assist, but thats just looking at domestic numbers tbf
 
I like him as a player, but it's a big gamble bringing someone so injury prone into a team of older and/or injury prone players

You could argue there's a means of handling it. If Rodri and Bobb come back with no issues, Gonzalez settles in and Foden can rediscover some form, then Olmo's minutes could be managed like we did with Haaland two seasons ago. But that's an optimistic point of view
 
Olmo is a quality player but I can’t see us getting him - he’s at his boyhood club and they’re in the ascendency.

Reijnders and Gibbs-White would massively revitalise the midfield to be honest - then maybe we need to look at adding some more g/a in the wide areas as opposed to the number 10.
 
hard to see him leaving this Barca project. young squad, great system to play in, stadium rebuild almost done, manager that just came in and turned them upside down and brought them back to elite level so quick getting the best out of most players, they humiliated Real Madrid 4 times in this season.

unless he is forced out for a big transfer income by Laporta, I dont think he wants to leave Barca.

Exactly. The club is refusing to go for the players who are easily available named Simons and Cherki. Olmo will never leave his boyhood club unless we pay 100M which we won’t and even then he would need to sign which he AGAIN wouldn’t.
Moving from one obvious NO to another. All that not to get the MOST OBVIOUS ones. This club really hates going for the OBVIOUS ones.
