I should have said “that may not mean anything on the pitch TO SOME.” Just like Pep, the mother in me likes the smart and nice ones. Hah.Means a lot on the pitch in a Pep team.

Anyone who watched the game against Germany, Georgia or Turkey. I think many haven't seen enough of him and didn't realise good he was.I can’t see it with Olmo, looks like a good squad player. Yes he scored a good goal yesterday but he wouldn’t even have been playing if Pedri were injured.
Prior to yesterday’s match who really wanted him. Feels like a Nunes buy to me.
Palmer wanted to leave we had no choice but to let him go.Every time I watch this guy play I think Cole Palmer
Is he better than Cole Palmer?
Just seems strange to sell a younger version for less than the older version. Although we didn’t know CP was going to be that good.
Maybe we have a buy back on CP :-)
I’ve watched him plenty, looks a tidy enough player in a system, but prior to the euros there was next to no interest from fans on here compared with other midfielders we were linked with.Anyone who watched the game against Germany, Georgia or Turkey. In fairness, a re-read of this very thread would disagree with your claim.I’ve watched him plenty, looks a tidy enough player in a system, but prior to the euros there was next to no interest from fans on here compared with other midfielders we were linked with.
That is incorrect.Palmer wanted to leave we had no choice but to let him go
Saw him play against Bayern in German Super Cup last summer. Kane's debut. He was excellent that night as Leipzig won 3-0.I’ve watched him plenty, looks a tidy enough player in a system, but prior to the euros there was next to no interest from fans on here compared with other midfielders we were linked with.
Always like seeing people get the facts straight. City could've retained Palmer if we wanted to. The lad asked for a loan and our board refused to give it to him. One of the most glaring mistakes I can remember City making in a long while, albeit the Phillips signing on massive wages / long contract is also up there. That is incorrect.
Palmer asked for more game time and requested if he could go on loan to get it as Pep could not promise him more time.
He was told stay with the club or be sold. A loan option would not be possible.
Chelsea came in with a good offer and both City and Palmer felt it was a good deal.
I have heard interviews by Pep and Palmer and both said that this was he case.
