PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Maybe, still seems unnecassarily protracted though.
Its getting frustrating as fuck waiting about, with zero indications either way.
It would be nice to know when "D-DAY" was actually coming haha.
Maybe they should do it like an advent calendar. Release the response to a charge at a time, every day. SSN and Dan Roan could narrate the opening of each door live on TV.

The funny thing about sportswashing for me is that Newcastle, owned by the Saudis who are worse than any oil state in many people's eyes, get the least abuse.

Wait until they start winning properly.

A League Cup? "Awwww, bless, so long without a trophy and the wait is finally over".

Multiple league titles? "This sportswashing, human-rights abusing despotism is ruining football and must be stopped at all costs".

And if you start to win league titles by narrowly edging out the favoured three then be prepared for an onslaught from the public, propagandised by a blood-thirsty client media.

Interesting take but not sure it is entirely true. The root cause of our difficulties could easily reside in attitudes towards us in Europe both in the football establishment and press. This situation predated the arrival of Guardiola . But your probably correct in asserting Peps decision to join us, rather than one of the carte,l pissed off the media big time.
It's just what I saw tbh.

Also at the time our just a bit afterwards when the hatred went into overdrive I started reading the European reviews, in their media just because it wasn't as tainted. I think I said it in here a few times... They didn't see us through the same lense, it was more like the coverage we are getting of PSG right now, lots of admiration.

That's because Newcastle aren't yet taking the league positions and winning the trophies the red cartel think should be "theirs".

Let's see if Newcastle win a title or two, and start taking players off the red shirts like we did with Arsenal (and Sterling from Liverpool).

Becoming really tiresome now this isn't it? I don't profess to have much knowlege on the leagal system, and understand how huge this hearing has been in comparrison to others. However, I thought we'd have some sort of news by now, even if it was to indicate preliminary findings. Again, I understand there must be vast ammounts of paperwork to draw up, and everything needs running over with a fine tooth comb. Yet, clearly the outcome will be known, with the case being over for months now.
Why can't they at least announce their initial findings, whilst addressing all the necessary documentation that needs to be written up. Forgive my ignorance, but like many, this is really doing my swede in now.
The lack of any news/signals whatsover is really frustrating, and seems unnecessarily protracted.
Maybe I'm just being paranoid, or overly frustrated.
However, even a release date of the findings, would at least give us all some clarity and something to focus on.
Unfair to put so much pressure on a part time gig. Probably away on jolly boys courtesy of the premier league. Gotta bill those hrs.

There was an academic study done on this that Gary James linked to on here a while back: https://publika.skema.edu/sport-soft-power-ranking/

UAE not even in the top 20 (so even lower than united were in the league).

Top 5 - USA, UK, France, China, Germany. UAE were 21st.

Yep, which sums up what this is really about.

I've got to say, if the judgement comes out and we're cleared of all charges, it's surely the case that the whole thing has damaged our chances in this transfer window. Take Wirtz, for example. Now it might be the case that he just prefers Liverpool or Bayern, and if so, fair enough. But who's to say in the back of his mind, he's not thinking that he could end up at City and then start next season on a massive points deduction and spend most of the season in a relegation battle? And then he decides that Liverpool is the safer bet?

To be fair, the UAE, Saudi and Qatar are the only ones on the list despite being absolutely shit at sports. The rest are there at least to some extent because of their sporting performance. Even Norway clean up in the Winter Olympics.

Without seeing that I had a row with Delaney about it being obvious that the US are the biggest sports washers. I said just count the amount of Olympics & world cups & then divide it by the amount of country’s they’ve invaded & it’s blatantly obvious.

Nothing is safe in Dipperville.

discrediting City and our success is already a punishment we are receiving. this isnt going away, even if we turn out to be innocent based on the panel opinion.

100% if people believe when we are cleared of all charges the msn will suddenly start being nice about us they are seriously nieve. It might not be quite as vitriolic as it has been over the last 2 years, but we will still get shit thrown at us. People will still be lining up to spout lies and slag us off.
